I think running an online auction to benefit the Pantry would be a good idea and way to help raise much needed funds. Dates aren't set in stone yet but I'm thinking maybe the last week of November or 1st week of December. Just a heads up , the next two Open Houses will be on Saturday September 12th and Saturday 26th at 0900 sharp. All are welcome (need help/want to help/just curious) and help is available once a month from the last time you were on. I do my best to match what your pet is eating but isn't always possible. If your pet is on a special diet, best to message ahead of time so you don't come and there's nothing.

One person came to the open house today and while we didn't have any dry food for her bigger dogs (non chicken only) her Yorkie and Kitty Cat will have plenty of full belly meals ahead! (As well as litter for the box) 😀

"OPEN HOUSE" on Sat. August 29th at 9AM sharp

Need help? Want to help? Want to learn more? Come on over to the Public Storage at 2399 S Finley Road in Lombard on 8/29 at 9 AM sharp. This is a gated storage space with no reception in the building so for this time, it's a come by 9 AM and you'll get in kind of thing. If you are coming to receive assistance and haven't gotten any before, make sure you email the info before hand/bring application with you as well as proof of need and proof of ALL animals in the house being spayed/neutered. I just wanted to give another huge shout out to Camp Ruff It Doggie Daycare & Boarding for sponsoring the cost of the storage space this month! Without a storage space, the Pantry literally couldn't exist. If anyone wishes to donate for the storage fees specifically, or just a general donation, there are a few ways to do so. Power has been restored!!!
Right after I bought a 6 bucket bag of ice and crappy cup of coffee of course, ha ha.

Side note... I have a number of "pouches" of frozen Farmers Dog food in my freezer right now taking up a bunch of space, ha ha. Of course people in need are the top priority but if you aren't, a donation to the Pantry would be appreciated and you can come pick up some or all.. please message here or email us at [email protected]

The power is unfortunately out at Pantry HQ after the nasty little storm ripped through our area. Some massive tree limbs across the street fell and snapped/downed power lines with some branches resting on them. Business as usual but if anyone comes to drop things down later in the evening, please be careful as there are jo lights on anywhere. Fingers crossed this urgent situation causes attention to be given to outage a lot faster and we aren't out for days again!

This week's "open house" was a success as one adorable land hippo (who can't have anything with chicken in it) received many meals worth of dry food.
My plan for future open houses is to have a more visually appealing announcement that I can share rather than just a bunch of paragraphs....
