Did you know...🤔

Horse's teeth grow their whole lives? They grind them down when eating on the opposite teeth keeping them from overgrowing, however sharp points can form that are painful and make it difficult for your horse to keep food in its mouth. If your horse is missing a tooth, there's no grinding, the unopposed tooth can overgrow and cause abscess or ulcerations to the opposite gum!🐴

This is why annual oral evaluation and floats are essential for your horses health.🪥

Signs your horse may be having dental issues can include, but not limited to:
✅️Dropping hay
✅️Balling up hay
✅️Losing weight
✅️Inappetence
✅️Excessive salvation

If you notice any of these things, or its time for your horses annual check up, schedule with one of our amazing large animal doctors to have your horse evaluated!🧡

Dr. Harrell working hard to get some teeth back in tiptop shape.🪥

Dental radiographs were crucial in evaluating the severity of these teeth. It allows us to see so much under the gum line that we wouldn't normally be able to assess.🥽

Dental radiographs are one of the tools we use to ensure your pets have the best dental care available!🦷

Schedule an appointment with one of our awesome doctors to get evaluated for their level of dental care!🤍
