Muzzle training my new dog 🐾❤️
There’s a plethora of reasons as to why you should muzzle train your dog, but for me personally, I have noticed a few behavioral traits my new dog has that are not appropriate.. In order to keep my other dogs safe, clients dog safe, and the general public safe I have to advocate for ALL OF them and begin muzzle training him. He is a very happy boy and he’s really a great dog but his life has changed A LOT and his lowered confidence is definitely challenging him and the household alike.. I NEED him to trust me and know that I will keep him safe and I’ll advocate for him as well, but we’re not there yet.. And because of that, I have to train him to new tools like his E-collar and his new muzzle.
It is MY responsibility to protect others, human and dog alike and I wish MORE pet people realized this truth. Whether you’re a dog sitter, pet parent, or just an animal lover you should take accountability for keeping your pet safe, other pets safe, and other humans safe!
