Youth hunt is this weekend! Every youth hunt tag we sell we are very intentional about telling you these rules for the following year yet we still have lots of folks look at us like we are talking a foreign language. There is no way to look up your child in the DNR system…. Yes we know that’s very silly and we think that needs to change. BUT don’t let your child miss out on the youth hunt when you can get prepared in just a few minutes!
We need a previous hunting tag or their DNR Sport card to be able to look them up and sell them licenses! Again, there is no other way to look them up to sell them licenses other than this! The DNR sport card is different than their Hunter safety sport card so if they have both, please bring both so we can mark that they have taken Hunter safety in the system!
We unfortunately have already had to turn away a few sad hunters because Hunter safety is not completed! When two years of apprentice licenses have already been sold and Hunter safety is not completed. It does not allow us to sell tags. Parents it is very important if you want to pass on these traditions to your children then the time needs to be taken to complete Hunter safety!
