🎉🐾 **TODAY WE CELEBRATED SOMETHING HUGE — WE REACHED NO-KILL!** 🐾🎉

Today we closed a little early for a staff appreciation lunch, but this wasn’t just any lunch. We took some time to celebrate a milestone that means **so much** to all of us. ❤️

**We reached NO-KILL!** 🎉

This achievement belongs to so many people. To our incredible community who supports us, donates, adopts, shares our posts and continues to believe in what we do — **THANK YOU.** To our volunteers who give their time and love to our animals — **THANK YOU.**

And to our staff — our dedicated warriors on the front lines — **this would not have been possible without you.** ❤️

Animal care doesn't stop for weekends, holidays, snowstorms, bad days or tired days. Our team shows up **365 days a year, rain or shine**, to clean kennels, give medications, comfort scared animals, celebrate the little victories, cry through the hard days and keep fighting for every animal that comes through our doors.

Reaching no-kill didn't happen overnight. It took years of hard work, change, partnerships, community support and a whole lot of people refusing to give up.

Today, we got to stop for a moment and celebrate just how far we've come.

Digging is a completely natural behavior for dogs and for some breeds, it’s a base instinct. Terriers were bred to dig, Huskies may dig to create a cool place to rest, and some dogs simply love the joy of digging.

Instead of telling your dog “no,” give them a place where the answer is yes! A designated dig pit gives your pup a safe, appropriate outlet for their instincts while saving the rest of your yard.

It’s not just about preventing unwanted behavior. It’s about giving your dog enrichment and an opportunity to be a dog.

When we meet our dogs’ natural needs, we set them up to be happier, calmer, and more fulfilled. So grab a little sand, create a digging spot, and let your dog dig to their heart’s content!

Today, our hearts are with everyone affected by the tragic shooting in Twin Falls. Keeping the victims, their families, first responders, and the entire community in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
