Yesterday we drove 780 miles to deliver one little Yorkie—and it made me realize most people probably have NO idea what private ground pet transport actually looks like behind the scenes. 🐾
🐾 Private pet transport is a whole lot more than putting a puppy in the vehicle and driving from Point A to Point B.
Before we ever pull out of the driveway, there’s coordination happening on BOTH ends—confirming pickup and delivery information, communicating with the breeder/sender and the receiving family, planning the route, watching weather and road conditions, and making sure we know exactly where that precious cargo needs to go.
Once that puppy is with us, they become our responsibility for the entire journey. ❤️
We’re watching how they’re doing, making appropriate stops along the way, keeping the vehicle safe and comfortable, and adjusting when needed because every puppy—and every trip—is a little different.
And while we’re rolling, we’re also communicating so the people waiting on the other end know how their new baby is doing and when they can expect us.
Then comes the BEST part…
Door-to-door delivery and putting that little passenger into the arms of the person who’s been waiting for them. 🥹🐾
Yesterday that meant more than 12 hours on the road and 780 miles for one tiny Yorkie.
Is it just driving a puppy from Atlanta to Mississippi?
Technically, I guess you could call it that.
But when somebody trusts you with something this precious, we think it’s a whole lot more than that. ❤️
That’s what K9 OOBR has been doing since 2019. 🐾
Yesterday’s passenger happened to be an adorable Yorkie.
Atlanta area ➡️ Meridian area.
More than 12 hours for Lolli & Pop.
And one little baby safely where they belonged. ❤️🐾
It’s definitely not glamorous.
But there’s something pretty special about knowing somebody trusted you with something they already love that much.
