Did you know that our team at Alta Vista Animal Hospital & Pet Resort has FOUR Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) and ONE Veterinary Technician Student on staff?! 🎉🐶🐱

So… what exactly is an RVT?

A Registered Veterinary Technician is a highly trained veterinary professional who has completed an accredited veterinary technology program, passed a national credentialing exam, and met the requirements to become registered in their state. RVTs are an incredibly important part of the veterinary team and work closely with veterinarians to provide high-quality patient care. 🩺💙

Our RVTs do SO much behind the scenes and at the bedside — including anesthesia monitoring, surgery assistance, dental procedures, laboratory work, radiology, patient monitoring, medication administration, treatment plans, client education, nursing care, and so much more!

Having multiple RVTs in a clinic means our doctors have a knowledgeable, skilled team supporting them and, most importantly, our patients receive an even higher level of care. ❤️

We are incredibly proud of the knowledge, dedication, and compassion our RVTs bring to Alta Vista every single day!

And we’re excited to have our vet tech student learning and growing with us as she works toward joining the ranks! 🎓🐾

Congratulations to Tiffany on an incredible 17 years of dedication, hard work, and loving care for all of the pets she grooms! We are so thankful to have you as part of the Alta Vista family. 🐶🐱

Tiffany is also going above and beyond by fostering Paula for Oklahoma Alliance for Animals, and she is doing SO good! 🥰 Palula is thriving in her foster home thanks to Tiffany’s love, patience, and care. We are so grateful for fosters like her who give animals a safe place to grow, heal, and find their forever families. 🏡❤️
