Chula's Uber

10/08/2026

Hello! With our NEW van and an influx of new Chula's Uber followers I want to make sure everyone knows what I do and what I don't.

I do not do direct adoption transports.

I transport at risk pets from shelters for rescue partners.

If you are an established rescue partner I will consider transports to foster to adopt homes on a case by case basis.

Picture of the beautiful Terra after her bath so that this isn't a total downer. 🐶

That's a FUNNY looking cat, lady!!
My FIRST pet transport in the NEW van!

I went to Santa Cruz County Animal Care & Control to pick up a young orange tabby that got himself into a predicament of some kind. (We think it's a burn) He was on his way to HOPE Animal Shelter, Tucson AZ for some much needed TLC

While I was there the ACOs were trying to arrange transport for this little bandito to Tucson Wildlife Center. Because I was transporting a single kitty, because we now have the room to keep pets well segregated and because this little guy was in a fully enclosed hand-off carrier he was able to hitch a ride!

I will be at Rummage to the Rescue with a whole bunch of junk....I mean awesome stuff.....on Nov 14th! I'll be set up right next to Hoofsnhorns Farm Sanctuary !

I should have clothing, furniture, plants and MAYBE even jam and baked goods!

We got a van! NOW we need to keep that gas tank full!

Thank you, Shelby for making us all matching flyers!

For our 1st "official" rescue we transported a pallet FULL of large dog food, dog treats, probiotics and an entire case of Salmon oil to Hope of Deliverance, Inc. from Codys Friends Charity !

We promise every bag will find a good home! 😊

Y'all the changing of the guard has begun!! The Mazda is officially retired from pet slangin' We in our VAN era!!

Chula has been my co-pilot since day one of the Uber. It's all been in her honor.

I miss the clicky clack of her toe nails on my tile. I miss her little face staring out at me when I was in the backyard in the rain and she didn't want to get wet. I miss her stealing every dropped piece of bird food and waiting patiently for "Pizza Bones". I miss tripping over her stupid blue racket balls

She's with me now on our 1st official transport!!

I also had 10 donors that chose to be Anonymous and I don't want to leave you out!

This was a group effort. I could not have done this without each and every single one of you!

I am beyond humbled and deeply deeply thankful!

I got a call today about these 2 'itty bitties! The finder had been caring for their mom but found her dying today. Unfortunately by the time help arrived she had already passed. These two little survivors were only hours old but already cold! I was able to rush them to safety and by the time we arrived they had warmed up and were already meowing for their first meal!

You GUYS did you know today is Black Dog Day!!! Look at Tiny! He's such a beautiful sweet boy! I just love this big ol dude 🖤

With those gia-mongous feet of his he's more likely to tip toe ON the tulips but...worth it!
