If you’ve seen my humans out and about recently, you may have noticed something VERY important happened…

The Barkolis got an upgrade. 🤌😏

And honestly, it’s about time they started matching the level of luxury I’m accustomed to.

We took our fan-favorite Barkolis and made them bigger, fancier, drizzlier, chippier, and WAY more fun. ✨🍫

The fun part? They come UNFILLED! Why? Because I believe every dog deserves creative control over their dessert. 💅🐕

I got the Deluxe FURminator package, which I can only assume is code for “remove enough German Shepherd fur to build a second German Shepherd.” 😂🐕‍🦺

Now I’m soft. I’m shiny. I smell fancy. And naturally, I came straight home to supervise the kitchen because looking this good works up an appetite. 🧁👀

🎂🐾 EXCUSE ME. APPARENTLY WE’VE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR A WHOLE YEAR. 🐾🎂

Kobe here, Founder, CEO, Head Taste Tester, and apparently the only one around here who keeps track of important corporate milestones. 🙄

Mom COMPLETELY forgot that Kobe Cakes turned ONE! 🎉

One whole year of baking, taste testing, markets, late nights in the kitchen, new recipes, custom cakes, Crunchies, Barkolis, pupcakes, happy customers, wagging tails… and me maintaining extremely rigorous quality-control standards. It’s exhausting being this important. 🐕‍🦺📋

What started as a little idea inspired by one very spoiled German Shepherd has turned into something we never could have imagined.

Over the last year, you guys have ordered treats for birthdays, gotcha days, holidays, “just because” days, and everything in between. You’ve stopped by our market booth, shared pictures of your pups, left us amazing reviews, told your friends about us, ordered from our Etsy shop, and trusted us to make goodies for some of the most important members of your families. ❤️

And THAT is the coolest part.

Some days are for celebrating. Some days are for remembering. And sometimes, they become a little bit of both. 💗🐾

Today is National Dog Day, a day that already means a whole lot around here. After all, Kobe Cakes exists because some very loved dogs inspired us to create something special for other very loved dogs.

This year, we’re celebrating with a little extra love in honor of Dolly Parton. 🎀

Dolly spent her life bringing joy to people, giving generously, and reminding us that a little kindness can travel a very long way. She also had a special love for animals and was dedicated to giving animals in need the love, care, and second chances they deserve.

So today, we’d like to send a little of that kindness forward.
