Folks, our shelter is full along with all our fosters and we need help to keep from euthanizing perfectly good dogs.
We have several good res he partners and feel confident they will take some of these dogs from us but there’s a process we have to go through that takes about a week . If you could find it in your heart to open up your home to help a dog for a short period of time we can furnish everything you’ll need to save one of these sweet dogs. The numbers are final. Dade County Pet Project spayed/neutered 1042 pets in 2025, a testament to our collective efforts. We continue to focus on reducing pet overpopulation through by offering accessible spay/neuter services. Our appreciation extends to all participants and a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors: Tyler Hughes, Lucks Rescue, DART, Troopers Treasures, Halo House , Sand Mtn Mutts and Pups and Paws Integrity. Teamwork makes the dream work! P. S. Since DCPP was founded at the end of 2023 it has Speutered over 3300 pets. Please join us in stamping out overpopulation of pets which will in turn , stop the euthanasia because of not enough homes and prevent a lot of neglect and abuse.

Today is the day all animal lovers in Dade and surrounding areas have been waiting for . Our groundbreaking for a new animal shelter is today at 11:30 behind the transfer/recycle station and you are invited to attend to share this special day . We will have a quick picture at the site breaking ground and then a little reception/ at the old courthouse upstairs. A heartfelt thank you to all who have helped make this possible. ::::: ALERT ::::: Our shelter is currently overwhelmed with a large number of animals, primarily strays that we have taken in to prevent them from freezing. It is so sad that some people will dump their dogs out like trash , especially during this cold weather, which is a common issue in our community. I am reaching out to ask if anyone has a dog kennel that they could donate to our shelter or sell at a reasonable price. We are in need of multiple kennels and dog houses. Ok Folks let’s get on board and have a big finish this month . Our number of speutered pets hit this year is at 942 at this time and our goal is 1100. We may not make 1100 but let’s atleast make 1,000. Neuter and Spay. Dont delay !
Can you imagine how many unwanted litters we have prevented together ? It’s amazing at the difference a community can makes when they band together with a common goal.

So happy with the turnout at our City vaccine clinic with 110 dogs recieving free vaccines , tags and microchips. Thanks to University of Ga for the grant, thanks to all who volunteered to help but a big special Thank you to how our local rescues came together to help improve and raise the bar for animal welfare in our county .
