We have a girl. All is well just moving slowly which is typical for Rose. Last time it was 9 hours from first puppy to last. 🤷‍♀️

We are having a sleepy relaxed day of early labor. Rose only left the box one time to eat lunch and she’s beyond relaxed- almost zen like. Couple episodes of light panting but otherwise she’s just resting. I can feel puppies moving. The whole house is staying quiet and it’s a cloudy cool day with on and off rain. We are cozy and just waiting.

We have reservations available for Roses litter. They will be cream to red colored, some with white markings. 25-40 pounds when full grown. Some will have furnishings like a doodle, some just long hair like a spaniel. We will test them for coat type after they are born. Follow the link for parents health testing info and to apply for a puppy. We expect family friendly highly trainable dogs with some potential for therapy work. They will be ready to go home starting in late July.

We are all set up for puppies. I’ve got my office set up in the puppy room this time,as well as my bed to sleep in until puppies graduate from the whelping box. All is well. A few more days and we will meet these little peanuts.

Pupdates like this help make this crazy project seem worth doing. This guy looks so much like his mom, and it sounds like he got his dad’s love of cuddling. Good boy Duke. 💜🐾 and thanks to all the great puppy owners like this who keep me updated with all the good stuff- and the troubles too. We’ve had several tough health issues crop up over the years, and we keep track of all of these to avoid doubling up or having a problem continue if we can help it. All info is good info but of course these happy updates are my favorite.

Pretty girls. Tess and (needs a name) are becoming best buds. Little baby no name is Lucy’s grand puppy and doing a good job of fitting in. You’d never guess she’s only 25% retriever. 💜🐾
