I’m thrilled to announce that Rosie the third is officially HOME to stay with her brother Walter. They are litter mates reunited. She has fields to run in, a lake to swim in, amazing humans who adore her, and a best friend. Walter’s mom contacted me as soon as she saw the first post about Rosie, because she felt he would benefit from having a playmate. Rosie is also highly motivated to play with other dogs. They seem to be absolutely thrilled to be together. Everything happens for a reason. Yay for happy endings. 💜🐾

Our guest is settling in and I almost forgot we had an extra dog for awhile today. 😅

Rosie the third (Gertie from the English Roses litter) is on her way back to us! My son flew to LA on Saturday and is driving this girl allllllllllll the way back to Michigan.

Her human was in the hospital when he arrived so thank goodness this transport plan worked out just in time. They were sad to let her go and we wish them all the best with their health challenges.

Noah is making the most of the chance for a road trip and he and Rosie are making some fun stops along the way. She’s doing reasonably well on the leash including on a long hike, sleeping all night in hotel rooms, and traveling like a champ in the car with no complaints.

Found a puppy picture of my baby Gertie the day she left almost 2 years ago.

We gotcha baby girl. Can’t wait to welcome you home.

Im feeling SO incredibly grateful for the network of supportive people around our little program. ❤️

I posted about Tabitha, and within an hour I had three wonderful applications.

I truly believe that planning ahead, joining a waitlist, or placing a deposit on a litter is usually the best way to thoughtfully choose the right puppy for your family.

But I also believe that sometimes the stars align, and people find the puppy that was meant to be theirs.

That’s exactly how I found Lucy, the dog who started this program. She was the last puppy left in her litter. Her breeder had decided to keep her, but changed her mind. I happened to come across her, picked her up the next day, and the rest is history.

So there will always be a special place in my heart for last minute placements and for the idea that, sometimes, the universe speaks through dogs. ✨

I’m happy to report that Tabitha has found her human and will be heading home on Sunday. Thank you to everyone who shared and for the kind words 💜🐾
