Meet Ilsa 💛

Ilsa is an 11-month-old German Shepherd here to work through reactivity toward new people and dogs.

Her owners are longtime Shepherd people, she’s their 5th German Shepherd, but they were advised by her breeder not to socialize her much as a puppy or take her on long walks. Unfortunately, that lack of early exposure helped create the exact issues they were trying to avoid.

Now we’re going back to the basics: building engagement, neutrality, confidence, leash skills, and a solid foundation her owners can actually manage and maintain.

With her owners both in their 70s, this isn’t just about obedience. It’s about creating a dog they can safely enjoy life with.

Time to give Ilsa the foundation she should’ve had from the start. 🐾

Anyone missing a dog near Hwy 11 / MacGregor Orchard?

Came home from work to find a hound dog locked inside my outdoor kennel run. Thankfully, there was already water in there. She looks like she had been wearing a collar at some point, but she didn’t have one on when I found her. I’m just glad she wasn’t splat in the road—and really glad I wasn’t out of town and found her the same day.

I’m not sure if someone dumped her because they knew I’d take care of her, or if they somehow assumed she was mine.

She appears to be around 1–2 years old, female, approximately 55 lbs, and appears to be intact.

I’ll take her with me to work tomorrow to have her scanned for a microchip.

If anyone recognizes her, please message me with proof of ownership.

How good is your dog’s recall?

Personally, I’ve had to test Maca’s twice this year. Both times, I was casually taking my old lady out onto the porch to potty when there was a bear standing at the bottom of the stairs.

Maca is truly worth her weight in gold.

Blue’s dad had already given him a great foundation before he came to us! We were just able to help build on it. 💙

During his Board & Train, we focused on boosting his confidence in public while fine-tuning his recall, loose leash walking, and his down stay/place command.

It’s been awesome watching Blue grow more confident with each outing. He put in the work, and we’re so proud of how far he’s come

Meet Willow 🤍 This 2.5-year-old pittie girl just started her training journey with me!
Willow struggles with fear reactivity, low confidence, and tends to be a little flighty when she’s unsure. She’s also not used to structured leash walking yet — but that’s exactly what we’ll be working on.

She belongs to a sweet family of four with two little ones, and my goal is to help Willow become the confident, reliable, and safe companion they know she can be.
I’m excited to help her settle into herself and thrive. 💛🐾
