If you've visited our sanctuary lately you may have noticed things are a bit disheveled. We are working on several projects that are keeping us busy to say the least.
Here is what we are working on:
We are currently in the process of removing our front outdoor doggie daycare deck and replacing it with a smaller deck area and fresh substrate. For the last year this area has not been usable and as we expand we desperately need this space. We decided to wait until September to avoid the relentless heat. We also are clearing out several of the bushes in that area and trimming them down heavily. So please don't mind our mess. It will only be temporary.
Our barnyard area will be getting a major overhaul over the next few weeks as we clear debris and trash that has accumulated over the summer. Sadly we have had to deal with people illegally dumping so we are ordering a roll off and getting this area clean and organized. Id like to remind everyone our dumpsters are for our personal use and cost our rescue substantially. We can not accept other people's trash. This includes tires and couches. While we wish we could help we can not. Special thank you to Andrew Dybala and his lawn crew for helping us in this endevour. If your looking for a wonderful lawn care company shoot him a message. He has been so helpful this summer and is so appreciated.
Our barnyard babies housing will be reinforced and winterized as well. Winter is right around the corner and we want to be prepared.
The cattery will be getting new paint, new floors, and climbing shelves. We will be putting tvs in their area as well as couches to make them feel more at home.
Our lobby will receive fresh paint.
If you would like to volunteer with any of these projects we would love to invite you in. We need all the help we can get!
Can't volunteer but still want to help? As you can imagine these types of renovations are expensive. We desperately need donations to cover these costs. You can donate directly via:
