Hey families, followers, and viewers! â¤ď¸đž
Iâm not sure if yâall know this, but Iâm currently finishing my bachelorâs degree, and I plan to continue my education for as long as I can while staying home with my little girl. Education has always been important to me because I believe it creates opportunities not only for ourselves, but for future generations. As the man who raised me said, âYouâre going to make a career out of going to school.â đ
While applying for scholarships myself, I had a thoughtâŚ
What about the families who have gotten puppies from us, the people who have followed our journey over the years, and even the future families who will welcome an Effingham Retriever into their home? I know so many of you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or know students who are working hard to reach their dreams and could use a little extra help.
That simple thought turned into something much bigger.
Iâm so excited to announce the Effingham Retriever Scholarship Program! đđž
Our goal is to make this a tradition by awarding two scholarships every year:
đž The Bella & Cali Scholarship â Honoring the two girls who started it all and changed my life.
đ¤ The Cotton Memorial Scholarship â Created in loving memory of Cotton, honoring the incredible impact a dog can have on someoneâs heart and life.
To kick things off, our goal is to award three $500 scholarships this year to students across the Southeast.
Applicants will submit an essay about a dog that has made a meaningful impact on their life and include a favorite photo together. When itâs time to choose the winners, I want our Effingham Retriever family to help decide. After all, this scholarship wouldnât exist without you.
For the past several years, so many of you have done more than just buy a puppy.
Youâve believed in me.
Youâve trusted me with your families.
Youâve recommended us to your friends.
Youâve shared our posts.
Youâve celebrated milestones with us.
Because of you, Effingham Retrievers has grown into something I never imagined. Your support has helped us grow this business, provide for our family, put food on our table, and allow me the opportunity to stay home raising my daughter while continuing my education. That is something I will never be able to thank you enough for.
This scholarship program is my way of giving a small piece of that love and support back.

Youâll receive a donation receipt by email that may be used for tax purposes.
Our dream is for these scholarships to continue for many years to come, helping hardworking students while celebrating the incredible bond between people and their dogs.
If weâre blessed to raise more than our goal, weâll award additional scholarships whenever possible. If funds remain after scholarships have been awarded, theyâll be donated to a local animal shelter, and weâll share photos so you can see exactly where your generosity went.
