These are my favorite of the Pyrrhura species…
Crimson Bellied Conures!
They may look like naked little chickens now but in less than a year they’ll be the prettiest birds you ever did see!

Mom and Dad, Rosie & Theo, did great with this clutch. Crimsons tend to be a little picky and temperamental with their clutches. Last year I took a peek in the nestbox and parents didn’t like that at all, so for this clutch, we let them do their thing with minimal intervention. They had 5 eggs and to my surprise, 5 well cared for little babies. 🥰
