There's a lot of things we do with the puppies to get them ready for the outside world. This week we introduced a litter with alfalfa pellets. This serves a couple purposes. The smell introduces/mimics what it will be like when they start going outside (coming this next week!). It creates discipline in them to potty in a designated area. They catch on SO QUICK. This establishes great potty training from the start!

We switched out newborn collars to breakaway collars! This means if they're playing and one is too rough the collar automatically breaks away and doesn't cause injury! *and yes we have to have collars on because some of these pups are too similar in color*

From the very start (about week 2) as their ears and eyes are opening we introduce a few words as we walk in the room and up to their area. "PUPPIES" or "BABIES"!! and then the sound you'll hear in the video. This is for the part of recall. These are retrievers after all ;) so as we start to go outside and they learn their surroundings theyll hear the sound and know its time to come back!

You'll see how quick they come at just shy of 4 weeks old!

These pups are incredibly intelligent bred puppies. Their bloodline is smart, soft-yet so fun, playful, and the perfect companion! Their bloodline on Mom & Dad's sides include Champion Duck Hunter & and Champion in Showmanship. The best of both worlds. 🫶🏼
