Little Ms. Zoey - she sure gets a hefty morning breakfast, I usually join her, but it was a busy morning from the get-go.
Mango, Boiled noodles, Whipped Cottage Cheese, Carrots, Green Beans, homemade Creamed Corn, Egg with egg shell (shell for calcium) tomatoes, zucchini, mango, and a small halved yellow potato! Bon Apetit to our greatest Security Patrol, and lover of all foods! Lol.

For all animals, everywhere ❤️

Thank you Margaret Geraghty Pryor !! Jason Leidel and Dennis and Roxann Leidel !! 22 bales to go! ❤️❤️ and now Carla Logan Patzke ! ❤️🐎❤️🐎❤️🐎❤️
21 bales to go!

Four people have donated -- four. I'm happy about that, don't get me wrong, please -- buy Y'all ask and beg Sanctuaries and Rescues to save these beautiful animals -- and then it's just *crickets* -- step up, please. We RARELY ask for help. But we need it now. $5 or $50 -- anything and everything helps. If you're more comfortable purchasing a bale yourself, then let us know, and we'll send you the info of whomever can get us some hay.

These three amazing Percheron rescues, (Duke, John and Wayne) got to live out their last beautiful elder years, here on Wild Rose Sanctuary. Though they've gone before us, (they showed up in my memory newsfeed this morning) they traveled from Wyoming (where Wild Rose originated in 2014) to Texas in 2018 - along with many other rescues that made the long trek here. So to those beauties who have lived out their "second chance lives," at Wild Rose Sanctuary, and have left us to cross that beautiful rainbow bridge - we thank you, we love you, and your lives being here, made all of our lives better. ❤️🐎❤️

We've had some good rain the last week or so, but not quite the amount we needed earlier on in the spring, for hay baling. So we're going to start a fundraiser for the Wild Rose Sanctuary 37 rescue, longterm care, and wild mustang horses - since it's clear we not only will NOT be able to cut and bale anytime soon, its a good indication that winter bales will be low if we don't have either a good Summer cutting, or (God-willing) - a Fall cutting.

We don't usually do much fundraising for Wild Rose, as most of what we need comes out of our own pockets, while we all go through such a difficult economy -- but we're asking now.

If everyone can help sponsor a bale each, we can get rolling on getting some hauled in (yes the grasses are green, but they are short.)

Or if you cannot sponsor a bale, perhaps you'd consider a smaller donation. And we always, always LOVE, and need prayer.

😔 What a sad day for the horse world. Our hearts here at the Ranch, and Wild Rose Sanctuary, are heavy for everyone impacted by the heartbreaking events at the "NBHA Professional’s Choice" "Barrel Racing Las Vegas Super Show" yesterday, May 30th.

Multiple barrel horses were intentionally injured after being stabbed multiple times, in their horse barn stalls, by (according to reports) a fellow competitor.

Our prayers are with the horses receiving urgent care, their owners, families, fellow competitors, and the event producers navigating an unimaginable situation.

Authorities responded and the suspect was reportedly taken into custody

For horse owners, competitors, and anyone who loves these incredible animals, this is the kind of nightmare you never expect to face. It is a painful reminder that we live in a hurting and broken world. Please join us in lifting up every person and horse affected; and pray for healing, protection, and comfort. 🙏💔

Perfect day on the Rescue Sanctuary with some of my "sea of wild mustangs" that have graduated to the larger pasture, while gaining more weight, more trust, and the freedom they once knew.

I love that my ranch, (that I pray every day, I can continue to maintain) provides wide open spaces for the 47 rescues, wild mustangs and Sanctuary horses of Wild Rose Sanctuary, to run recovered, and feel the winds of freedom whispering across their manes.
