We haven’t posted much lately, which usually means we are busy doing the work! And boy, were we busy this month!

We completed 208 spay/neuter surgeries, far exceeding our previous months. We traveled to Bartlett, Thorndale, and Cameron (where we fixed all of their unaltered shelter dogs as well).

We also continue to support the Taylor Animal shelter on everything from simple ear infections, to flea allergy dogs, to cats injured in car engines, and more…I take home all the ringworm kittens to protect the rest of the shelter from it!

We love supporting this community and look forward to another month of low cost spay/neuter!

I know people often call the Taylor shelter looking for a barn cat (they only adopt to indoor homes). Well, here’s your chance! We fixed Tom and he is current on vaccines. He’ll be a good kitty!

I really need to rehome a cat. I take care of a small feral/stray colony plus I have two cats of my own. Tom showed up last year, got him fixed, but he is still a bully. I feed him separately from the others but he is now hanging around the house so that the other cats are very intimidated by him, he punks them for fun it appears. He’s really sweet with people but not other cats. He’d make a great barn cat. I’ve been trying to find him a home for several weeks now. This morning he got up under my feet as I was walking, something he does often but this time did I not only step on him, I fell. My balance since my stroke in 2020 is very bad, so I have to be very careful, and at 60, certainly don’t need any broken bones. So please please someone take him in.

We have not even filled half way for our Thorndale spay/neuter day on Thursday May 28! This is for Thorndale city limit residents only so unfortunately we have to decline a lot of people that apply.

These surgeries are “pay what you can” so it’s at a price you can afford. Please spread the word. If we don’t fill up this month, we won’t be back for a few months.

Susan (office admin) is hard at work at the City Of Taylor, Texas Animal Shelter! (Actually, she really was working hard today!). And little Kibbles has already been adopted so don’t get too excited! 😆

We are coming next week! We will be in City Park on Thursday May 28th!

Please sign up for our “pay what you can” spay/neuter surgeries. We do not have regular appointments for the day - surgery only!

You have to receive a confirmation email to know you got a spot!

Surgery patients will receive the needed vaccines and we will microchip every pet that doesn’t already have one. Receiving a microchip is REQUIRED!

You MUST live within the city limits of Thorndale for this event. Please do not sign up if you are not in the city limits.

Luna stopped by our Bartlett day to get her first kitten vaccines (she was supposed to be spayed but she’s way too young!). She took a keen interest in my medical notes. I’ve been looking for an admin assistant…think she could do it with the proper training??

I love when I get to see goat patients occasionally!

When your spay/neuter client happens to come in with her baby goat who may be injured and your spay/neuter veterinarian just happens to have gotten her start as a dairy goat vet 🐐
