From the brink to bright days! 🐾
Miss Rookie’s 7am 6-week follow-up brought GREAT news! Her pins are still perfectly in place, and she has expected callus formation, aka new bone growth around the fracture. 🦴
For the next two weeks, we’ll slowly introduce more walking and light play and eventually she will meet her foster nugget cousins(yes, she is vaccinated and tested already). We are taking are time though as this was a pretty yucky femur break. She even got an EXTRA EXTRA LARGE playpen upgrade today, complete with a little charcuterie treat board! 🎉
46 days ago, she was at risk of euthanasia. Look at her now! ❤️ Strict routine, following Doctor orders and unconditional love always 🏆

He finally cracked!!!!! Love, patience, and consistency changed everything. RiceKrispy learned that not all humans are scary. Watching him choose trust has been the greatest reward.

From the euthanasia list to the comeback of a lifetime🙏. Rookie's story just keeps getting better
Sweet Rookie was pulled from our friends at Pasco Animal Services after ending up on the euthanasia list with a severe femur fracture and multiple puncture wounds. Thanks to the incredible supporters of Animalluvr's Dream Rescue, we were able to get her into orthopedic surgery the very next day, giving her the second chance she deserved.
Today, her puncture wounds have completely healed, her antibiotics are finished, and she's officially cone-free! While she's still on strict cage rest as her leg continues to heal, she's back to enjoying toys, playing, and learning how to just be a kitten—even with a few temporary restrictions.
None of this would have been possible without your support. Your donations didn't just pay for surgery—they gave Rookie the future she deserves. Every milestone she reaches is because compassionate people like you believed she was worth saving.

These handsome boys were both rescued from life outside. They didn't know each other before foster care, but quickly found comfort and friendship together. ❤️
They're not officially bonded, but we'd love to see them adopted together. If adopted separately, each would do best with another friendly, active cat in the home.

Say Hello to the sweet & salty "Snack Pack Crew"! Please help welcome our newest foster nuggets: RingPop, Ritz, Rolo, RiceKrispy, RedVine(s), & Razzle(s). These sweet babies were trapped by our dear friend Cat Man Chris & are settling in, can't wait to love on them after they are used to thier new foster home here with us. At the same time, I'd also love to celebrate two very special graduates, Fosters Pepe & Beans, who have officially finished their time in foster care & are now beginning the search for their perfect forever home also were trapped by Chris🙂. While they aren't technically bonded, we'd absolutely love to see them adopted together. Unless there's a home with a younger, sociable cat who could be a match. These two litters are the perfect example of beautiful teamwork. And it really shows the magic that happens when rescue folks and community work hand in hand.Thank you Animalluvr's Dream Rescue as well for all your support as always❤️ , , , , .
