Meet Milo!
Milo is a sweet, affectionate, fluffy 1yr 5 mo old boy looking for a calm, loving home. Because he cannot hear, Milo would do best in an adult-only home. He is also FIV+, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying life and being a wonderful companion. Cats with FIV do not require more care than other kitties as all cats should see their vet for yearly checkups and be kept on good quality food.
His perfect day includes a cozy bed, a sunny window, and plenty of love from his people. If you’re looking for a gentle companion to share life’s sweet moments, Milo is ready to find the forever home he deserves!

🐾Tails From the Rescue Field-TNVR Takes a Team, And We Need You!

After decades serving as an active-duty officer in the military, where teamwork was essential, I believe we all have the ability to contribute to our communities and make a difference in our own neighborhoods.

The stray and abandoned cat population in Hillsborough and surrounding counties has reached a heartbreaking crisis. Every day, animals suffer in neighborhoods all around us, while county and rescue resources simply aren’t enough to meet the need.

I volunteer because I can’t look away. I believe we need more compassion and more people willing to step up. Everyone can do something, and even a little effort can make a tremendous difference.

An effective Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) effort takes a community. It also takes a team to help share the workload and reduce burnout for the small number of volunteers currently doing this work.

How You Can Help:

🐾 Transport: Drive cats to and from spay/neuter appointments.

🐾 Recover: Provide temporary, safe care while cats heal after surgery.

🐾 Spot & Report: Alert us to growing colonies or unaltered cats in your area.

🐾 Trap: Learn the basics and help safely TNVR community cats.

A few of the cats I’ve had the privilege of trapping are pictured below. Every one has a story, and every one represents a life that was saved.

Making a difference doesn’t have to take over your life. A few hours a year could change an animal’s entire future.

You don’t have to do everything. Just find the part you can do.

Her days are filled with gentle curiosity as she bravely explores her surroundings, always eager to learn something new. She has truly mastered the art of companionship and spends her time providing comfort and joy to everyone around her. Whether you are looking for a perfect lap cat to share a quiet moment or a buddy for a playful adventure, her gentle nature makes her the ideal companion.

Viviana is a friendly and loyal kitty that loves engaging in smart interactions with her people and gets along wonderfully with other cats and children. She does not have any strict adoption requirements and is simply looking for a family to share her warmth with. Happy Wednesday Night from The St Francis Dog Team!! Tonight we are happy to introduce you to our newest member to join our Team...Little Lucy!!

We call her Little Lucy as she is just 18 months old and about 25 lbs!! We are not positive what mix of breeds she is as she resembles a German Shepherd...but is well...Little! 😊

Little Lucy was left by her owner months ago at a friend's house that he was staying with and he never returned to pick her up...and hasn't replied to any messages. So Lucy is looking for someone she can count on to come back for her!

She is very playful and loves to play with her Foster Mom's cats & kittens. She loves toys. Lucy loves to cuddle and get lots and lots of attention. She is a medium sized dog.

Little Lucy just got her shots and spay surgery today...so it will be two weeks until she is healed and ready to meet potential adopters...so stay tuned as we will announce when she is ready to be adopted...but that doesn't mean you can't fall in love with that cute face now...❤️🐾🐕

𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗞𝗬? 𝗪𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗢𝗥. ❤️

When we first introduced you to Sky, she was a desperately sick little kitten fighting for her life. Sky had been left outside a veterinary office suffering from a severe re**al prolapse. She was so sick that the decision had been made to euthanize her.

But one veterinary technician looked at Sky and said, “No.” That one act of compassion changed everything.

A St. Francis volunteer rushed Sky to Best Friends Animal Hospital & Surgical Center, where the veterinary team stayed late to perform emergency surgery and save her life.

Sadly, the heartbreak wasn't over. Sky tested positive for panleuk, one of the deadliest diseases a kitten can face.

But Sky fought. Boy did she fight!❤️💪

With veterinary care, a dedicated St. Francis medical foster and a whole lot of love, she finally got better.

Now Sky is healthy and she has been adopted. ❤️

The little kitten who once needed so many people fighting for her is safe, loved and home.

✨ One veterinary technician refused to give up on her.
✨ One St. Francis volunteer rushed to save her.
✨ One veterinary team stayed late to save her life.
✨ One medical foster nursed her back to health.
✨ And one family gave Sky her happy ending. ❤️

Meet Allie and Palmer, a sweet 1-year and 3-month-old pair who have been given a wonderful second chance after a rough start to life. While they can both be a little shy and timid at first, they become wonderfully affectionate companions once they warm up to you. Allie is a silly girl who loves to rub all over you and do fun flips on the bed while you are sleeping. Palmer loves to sleep right beside you and will happily rub up on your legs at dinner time.

Allie and Palmer are a loving and loyal pair that loves spending all of their time together as best friends. Because they are so super bonded, they have a strict adoption requirement and must be adopted together to go to their new home as a pair. These resilient siblings are ready to bring double the love and companionship to a patient family.
