This may have been our first ASCA National, but it will not be our last! We drove to Colorado with minimal expectations of how our dogs would do, and they blew us out of the water.
💣Semtex💣 was entered in herding, rally, conformation, and competing for MVA. He trialed on all stock, the sheep were tough thus getting him an NQ, his duck run was very lovely, and his first time trialing on cattle was a very pretty run!! With his stock Qs and his rally Q, and a very respectable conformation score he qualified for MVA! He showed as a Special in the breed ring and while we didn't make the short list, he showed well and enjoyed all of the attention.
✨️Zulema✨️ was entered in herding, agility, rally, and competing for MVA. She just barely NQ'd on the tough sheep (but didn't back down to them challenging her), Q'd on ducks, had a very lovely rally run, and a respectable conformation score to also qualify for MVA!! No Qs in agility due to little things here and there, but she had some truly amazing runs that we are still proud of.
Splat was entered in agility and conformation. Our agility runs were very lovely and had some amazing points. We didn't earn any Qs, but the pieces are coming together. We also showed in the "Over The Hill Juniors" ring and had such a blast. He also showed as a Special and didn't make the short list, but loved all of the cheers when going around the ring.
We truly are going home with the best dogs and we can't wait until we see everyone again at the next National we can make it to. Now we start our long trek back to Florida.
