We’ve been slacking on the page lately between the kids sports, coaching, and work, but Elsie and Rooster have been having a jam up dove season whenever we can squeeze in a hunt! One of our favorite things about these two is just how versatile they are. From the duck blind to the dove field and just about anything else we ask of them, they’re always ready to go. Truly multi purpose dogs with the drive to work and the ability to do a little bit of everything. We couldn’t ask for a better pair!🍂👏🏽

Sometimes you get skunked, no way around it but there’s something about an Oklahoma sunrise during duck season that never disappoints. We didn’t take a single bird this morning, but the sky lit up in pinks, purples, gold and quiet, and that felt like a win all on its own 🌅

Take a wild guess what we’re chasing next…They say it’s the ribeye in the sky and we’re always up for an adventure 😉

Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸

To those we know and those we never will, thank you. Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who’ve given us the gift of freedom and the chance to live the life we love, in the great outdoors, alongside the dogs we cherish.

From our family at Cole’s Riverbend Retrievers, thank you to every veteran for your courage, sacrifice, and service.

Forever grateful. 💙🐾🇺🇸

Elsie waits with quiet grace while cleaning birds… where instinct meets devotion, and wanting becomes a soft prayer.🦆

Last weekend on youth opener, we loved getting the chance to take our kids out and show them the world of the great outdoors. There’s nothing better than passing down generations of hunting knowledge and watching the next generation of hunters and conservationists fall in love with it, too. 🦆🐾🍂
