The ideal German Shepherd Dog joins incorruptible character to sound physical structure and serves with distinction as guard, companion, and helper. We actively train and trial our dogs in the sport of Schutzhund. Schutzhund training evaluates a dog's intelligence and utility in three skill areas: tracking, obedience, and protection. At vom Himmelhoch we rely on Schutzhund training to supply us wi

th valuable insights into the temperament and training ability of our breeding dogs and their offspring. Accomplishments:
To date the dogs I have trained have achieved the following titles: BH (6 dogs), AD (2) ,SchH1 (1) ,SchH2 (1) ,SchH3 (1) ,IPO1 (1) ,IPO2 (1) ,FH (1) ,KKL (1) ,CGC (2) ,TDI (2).

Erma vom himmelhoch has found her forever home with a great couple in Wisconsin. Former puppy clients that had to say goodbye to their beloved VH dog, it was a prefect fit for Erma to enter their home and lives.

Hi Everyone, I'm putting a feeler out there for someone who might be looking for a well trained, older german shepherd to love. I am going to be very selective but I would like to find a family for Erma vom Himmelhoch.

Let me tell you about Erma -
- she's eight years old
- she is now spayed (after having several litters of pups)
- she is very well behaved in the house
- she's great in the car and loves to go for rides
- she has a kind heart
- she has strong food drive and has quick obedience
- she is current on all her vaccinations.
That's all on the plus side.

On the downside,
- she can be dog-aggressive. She doesn't look for trouble but if another dog makes the first move she will answer.
- she is no friend to cats.
- she doesn't like thunderstorms or neighbor's gunfire. (this was a new development after her spay)
- her left ear is slightly damaged from a hematoma

Well folks, thank you for your stories, your loving care of my puppies thru out the years, and your support. It's been a good 18+ years, but I've decided to stop breeding. It's a personal thing. I hope we can continue to share our love for our vom Himmelhoch Shepherds. I still have two - mother and daughter, Erma and Quinn vom Himmelhoch. I can see the dogs in their pedigrees in their eyes, expressions and antics and that always makes me smile.
