🐾 Hi friends! Lulu here! 🐾

Guess what?! Today was a BIG day on my journey to becoming a therapy dog! šŸ’™

My trainer took me to a semi-busy public area so I could take my very first mock CGC test! (That stands for Canine Good Citizen, but I like to think it means Canine Getting Closer to my dreams! šŸ˜‰)

Nine months ago, the world felt SO exciting. New people? Exciting! New places? Exciting! A leaf blowing in the wind? VERY exciting! šŸ˜‚ I wanted to say hello to everyone, all at once, all the time! But today was different.
Today, I showed everyone just how much I have grown.

I met a wonderful lady and her adorable daughter, and that was definitely one of my favorite parts of the day! Lots of people stopped to pet me, and let me tell you… that is still one of the best things ever! ā¤ļø

The difference is that now I’m learning that being a therapy dog isn’t just about loving people. It’s about staying calm enough to help them.

Do I still get excited? Absolutely!
Do I still have moments where I want to wiggle, bounce, and shower everyone with kisses? You bet! šŸ˜†
But every day I’m learning that calm confidence is just as important as a happy heart.

The biggest shoutout today goes to my dad!! 🐾
For nine months, he has shown up for me. He has practiced with me, guided me, believed in me, and worked through every challenge right alongside me. When things weren’t easy, he didn’t quit. When progress felt slow, he kept going. Because of his dedication, patience, and trust in the process, I am becoming the dog I was always meant to be. ā™„ļøšŸ¾

My trainer was really proud of me today, and honestly, I was pretty proud of myself too!!
I’m not finished yet. I still have more learning to do, more growing to do, and more calmness to master.
But today was proof that all those small daily steps are adding up to something really special.

One paw at a time, one lesson at a time, one calm moment at a time…
I’m getting closer to becoming the therapy dog I’ve always dreamed of being. 🩵🐾

Love,
Lulu

🐾 Helper Highlight 🐾

Today we want to celebrate someone who has been a very special part of our Paws & Effect family.

From a young age, he has been surrounded by the world of animals, growing up alongside his mom as she helped rehabilitate dogs from all walks of life. That foundation created a heart full of compassion, patience, and a genuine love for God’s creatures.

Over the years, he has stepped into the role of helper, intern, friend, and trusted member of our pack. Whether working with dogs or supporting their humans, he has always shown up with a servant’s heart and a willingness to learn.

Recently, he graduated from high school, and in just a few short months, he will begin a new chapter as he answers the call to serve in the military. While our hearts are sad to see him go, they are also filled with excitement as we watch God unfold His purpose for his life.

We believe God has equipped him with courage, kindness, integrity, and a heart for serving others. Those gifts will carry him far as he spreads his wings and steps into all that God has planned for him.

We are incredibly grateful for the love, dedication, and countless hours he has poured into the Paws & Effect Dog Training Pack. His impact reaches far beyond the dogs he helped—it lives in the relationships he built and the lives he touched along the way.

If you have the opportunity to see him before he leaves, take a moment to remind him how loved and appreciated he is. We certainly will.

Our pack has been blessed by his presence, and while we will miss him more than words can express, we know this is not goodbye—it is simply the beginning of the next adventure God has prepared for him.

Congratulations, Christopher. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see where God leads you next. ā¤ļøšŸ¾

🐾 Furever Friday Reviews 🐾

ā€œTrust the Processā€

When Lulu’s dad first started training, he wasn’t sure what to think.

The approach was different. The concepts were unfamiliar. It was completely outside of his comfort zone, and trusting something you don’t fully understand can be difficult.

But he kept showing up.

He stayed consistent.

And little by little, things began to change.

In this video, you’ll hear Lulu’s dad share how it took a couple of months before he truly trusted the process. Looking back now, he’s so grateful that he did.

The biggest change wasn’t just in Lulu’s behavior—it was in her happiness.

As Lulu became more balanced, more confident, and more at peace, Dad found himself happier too.

That’s the beautiful thing about dog training done through psychology, leadership, and trust. We aren’t just changing behaviors. We’re changing relationships.

When the human grows, the dog grows too. ā¤ļøšŸ¾
