Interesting fact of the day!

Cats can purr while both inhaling and exhaling, which is unusual in the animal world. Most animals (and even humans when we “hum”) only make a sound on the exhale. Scientists think cats use a special “neural oscillator” in their brain that sends signals to the muscles around their voice box, keeping the purr going non-stop in both directions of breathing.

That’s why a cat can sit on your lap and purr like a tiny motor for hours without pause!
