Meet Loretta! Loretta just arrived for her 30 days of training. She is here to work through a few behavioral issues. She is a very sweet girl who just needs some guidance and consistency. Some of the main things we will be working on are being caught while out in a pasture, standing tied, standing still under saddle, and improving some overall pushy behavior.

I can’t wait to see the progress she makes over the next 30 days! 💕🐴

Here is a little update on Dory. She is slowly learning to trust a bit more every day. She is getting better at leading. I am so proud of how brave she is, and even though they look like baby steps, I feel like they are big milestones for her. 💕

I had an amazing opportunity to get on some cutting horses yesterday—my very first time! I’m so grateful for the experience and want to say a huge thank you to Walt Erwin Cutting Horses for taking the time to teach me more about the sport.

You have an incredible facility and some truly outstanding horses. I’m so thankful for the chance to learn from you!

Here is a short video of Dory. She has started walking up to me, and for the first time she is willingly sticking her head out of her stall. Although she still isn’t completely comfortable with being pet and loved on, she has come a long way and is beginning to trust me more each day. I’m very proud of her progress.

This sweet girl officially has a name! 💙 I’ve decided to call her Dory. She is coming along so well and learning to trust a little more every day. We’ve even done some light leading around in her stall, which is a big step for her. I’m incredibly proud of how hard she’s trying and so excited to continue this journey with her.

I would like to introduce this girl to the Hans-In Training program. This sweet mare is my next project. She does not yet have a name—like many things with her, that is still a work in progress. She is currently unhandled and learning to trust, and we will be taking things slow and correct. Today was James’s first day of lessons! We focused on safety and the basics of being around horses, and he absolutely loved every second of it. He’s already talking about becoming a trainer himself one day! I truly enjoy helping both kids and adults reach their goals, and I’m so excited to watch James grow and progress as lessons continue.

Today blueberry went home to his family! When blueberry came to me for training he was pushy and didn’t know what personal space was. Although, he still has that puppy dog personality he now knows that he has to respect your space and can not walk all over people. That is not all he has learned though. He has learned some fun tricks such as the come get me, smile, sit and more. Blueberry has also mastered desensitizing and now knows to stay calm when there Is chaos around. These are just some of the things blueberry has learned during his time here. I can not wait to get him back when he is old enough to get started under saddle.
