Best of both worlds.🍂🌊

Tip: when your dog checks in with you on their own, say “yes!” and reward it! Eye contact is the foundation for everything else.

🐾 A heartfelt reminder to keep your pets close and supervised.

Over the past couple of weeks, we have sadly lost several dogs to predators. Our hearts are with the families grieving their beloved companions.

We share this reminder with compassion, in the hope of helping protect another pet.

Please be especially vigilant at dawn and dusk, and make safety a priority every time your dog goes outside—even for a quick potty break.

🐾 Go outside with your dog and keep them on a leash. Stay close and attentive throughout their time outdoors.

🐾 Never leave pets outside unattended. A familiar backyard or fenced yard does not guarantee protection from wildlife.

🐾 Take precautions day and night. Please don’t assume that daylight or being near the house makes an unattended pet safe.

These losses are heartbreaking. Small, consistent precautions can help reduce the risk and bring our dogs safely back inside.

Please share this reminder with someone who loves a dog. ❤️

Education is Prevention. Prevention saves Lives.

Funday Monday! Going around a chair looks like a cute trick, but it’s real skill work. Your dog learns to follow your hand signal, work a little away from you, and stay committed to the job. It’s a great foundation for sends, mat work, and managing space at home. 🐾

Try it: point, reward the first step around, then build to the full circle.

The secret isn’t magic, it’s practice! Skill work, leash walks, and lots of positive experience in new places add up to dogs who can handle the real world. Today’s lesson was a gourd-geous one. 🐾

Training tip: Rewards aren’t just treats. Praise, pets, and play work too. Mix them up so your dog works for you even when snacks aren’t around.
