Thursdays are notorious for being a BUSY day for our team, so here’s a quick look into some of our adventures today!

1. Maggie's BIG milestone! After 6 visits of building trust and taking things at her own pace, Maggie let us complete her exam today WITHOUT a muzzle and premedications! She even stayed close for extra pets and snuggles. 🥹 A huge win for this sweet girl!
2. Puppy snuggles and final puppy vaccines! 💉🐶
3. Emmy spending some quality time with our patients while chatting with their family about their care.🐾
4. A much-needed coffee and snack break to keep us going! ☕️
5. Kisses from Moose during a house call before we performed X-rays on his housemate, Chief!♥️
6. Sweet Betty dancing for treats after her annual exam, vaccines and yearly bloodwork🧀
7. Traveling both sides of the river today for our NJ and PA clients🚐

Days like today remind us why we love what we do. Maggie's progress is a perfect example of the benefits of mobile veterinary care. By providing a familiar, low-stress environment and allowing pets the time they need to build trust, we can make veterinary visits a more positive experience. Sometimes the biggest victories aren't medical procedures or test results—they're earning the trust of a pet who was once terrified.🐾♥️

Super thankful for all the new friends we made this week! And especially grateful to teach some local Girl Scouts about veterinary medicine 🩺 It’s been another busy week and we love the continued support from our community!

Veterinary medicine is an incredibly rewarding profession—but it can also be an emotionally demanding one. Veterinarians and veterinary professionals face very real challenges with burnout, mental health, and su***de. These are some of the reasons I wanted Homegrown Mobile Vet to be different.

When I started this practice, I wanted to create an environment where compassionate patient care and a healthy life outside of work could coexist—for myself, our team, and my family. Because taking care of the people behind the medicine matters, too.♥️

On World Su***de Prevention Day, we’re simply taking a moment to bring awareness to an important issue within the profession we love.

Be kind. Check in on one another. And remember there is always a person behind the scrubs. 🐾

What a whirlwind of a week! We stayed busy, met some adorable new faces, and got to see plenty of our wonderful “regulars” too—and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We are so grateful for the outpouring support our Hunterdon & Bucks County communities have shown Homegrown Mobile Vet.

We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend!🇺🇸 As a reminder, our office will be closed Monday, September 7th and will reopen Tuesday, September 8th at 9 AM.

If your pet experiences a medical emergency while we are closed, please seek care at your nearest veterinary urgent care or ER hospital. A list of recommended facilities can be found on our website.

Chuck is in vacay mode!😎 As a reminder, our office is closed August 19th-29th for family vacation!

Our staff will be monitoring phones remotely during this time while we enjoy some family time. As a reminder, if your pet is experiencing any medical problems, please contact your closest veterinary urgent care or emergency hospital.

Our office will reopen Monday, August 31st at 9AM. We hope everyone continues to enjoy these last few weeks of summer!☀️🐾

☀️A Little Summer Schedule Update!

Dr. Struening & family will be taking some much-needed family time away August 19th–29th. Normal business hours will resume Monday, August 31st at 9 AM.

While we're away, our wonderful team will continue to monitor phones remotely and assist during our business hours.

A few reminders before we go:
💊 Need a medication refill? Please send requests in now or early next week so we can have everything ready before vacation.

📅 Need an appointment? We have very limited availability between now and August 19th, so please call soon to reserve your spot!

🚨 If your pet becomes sick or experiences an emergency while Dr. Struening is away, please contact your nearest veterinary urgent care or emergency hospital. A list of recommended facilities can be found on our website.

We appreciate your understanding while our family takes a little time to recharge and make some summer memories together!
