The long days, the messy trailers, the horses that test you, the runs that make it worth it, all of it is part of the process.

She loves the barrels that much.

Some horses want the job so badly you spend more time teaching them to wait than teaching them to try.

Having a teenage daughter has its perks.

Built-in help, honest opinions I did not ask for, and somebody who can usually figure out the phone before I throw it across the barn.

Someone fact check me on this…

Because I swear horses know the exact moment you’re in a hurry, wearing clean clothes, or trying to look like you have your life together.

They keep us humble. Very aggressively.

Conditioning changes everything.

A horse can have all the try in the world, but if their body isn’t ready for the job, the pattern will show it.

The work outside the arena matters just as much as the work around the barrels.
