As long as everything goes as planned, we should be expecting right around Thanksgiving this year! Started progesterone testing last night as our stud we have chosen is not in state or even a simple drive 😅

We will announce once the breeding has been completed as this is a huge deal for us! 🥰

For this litter, we may have a guardian home opportunity. If you are in NC and within an hour drive from us, follow along and we will make a post with information if necessary!

I spent a little over 3 hours doing a much needed groom on Bentley today but as always, he’s my favorite to do and the most tolerable of it 😅 he loves the dryer!

To address, we have been waiting on Avery still to go back into heat. With a full list of people waiting, this girl just decided to not be on track lol! I was so sure she was going to go in by the end of this month but still no signs. I will continue to update our Good Dog date until then. I cannot wait to announce our stud that we chose! ❤️

Carl sure is ready for some new babies to entertain him. We find him often just hanging out in the whelping box. We typically take down everything but decided to utilize it when we are not home for a period of time and need to keep the crew inside! Throwback photo of him with one of his buddies❤️

I always said Bentley was the best boy for the vet but I’m not too sure now.. Corbin could not care any less being poked as long as he’s being rubbed while flopped on the floor 😅

A plus for him as he spent half the day napping in the office with me 🥰

I don’t think I wrote an update on him but as always, we want to be fully transparent. His hips scored good on his prelims but one of his elbows was a touch brighter along his right elbow compared to the left and a small amount of possible bony build up along the back of his joint, again, compared to the other elbow, scoring his right with DJD Grade 1. Now, I take that with a grain of salt, and would much rather schedule a CT scan before washing him from our program. Aside from his vaccines, we also decided to repeat radiographs. Today’s radiographs with better positioning, in my opinion, look so much better than our last views in March. I could be naive but I’m hopeful especially with his pedigree history.

If they think it’s still something concerning, I will be scheduling a CT scan to be done when he turns 2 in January to confirm before making a hard decision. Regardless, he is and will always be so loved by us and his guardian home! He has so many good characteristics and deserves the best no matter what! ❤️
