How’s it going Kathy Boyle from the golden project. so when we first encountered goose or oso or lance we were simply giving the owners the tools on how to properly manage this dog. He was already on a improperly sized prong collar when we first met him. We used a slip lead everytime weve handled him. He wanted to go after the cats and the couple worked actual jobs like normal people. When you’re bringing a new dog that you don’t know into an environment the best thing you can show is structure and rules of said environment. The crate is a tool when used properly and god forbid a dog has an urgency when it needs to go to the vet or actually be boarding with someone the crate can be the dogs safe space mentally when In a new environment. Instead it needs to deal with that battle while already being stressed. A dog like him with so much arousal needs to learn how to have some downtime. He bit his owner badly and when I called i was communicating how goose or lance or oso was staying with us and under good care. You could’ve picked him up at that moment but you still choose to wait a few days to get him. Regardless day of I had lessons and things ahead of time and him being a bite risk it was important for me to be present at that handoff. Who knows how many bites this dog has on his record or the amount of dogs you’ve placed with such behavioral issues and I understand you are doing it from a good place but who places that many dogs without screening the homes yourself. You explained if you knew you wouldn’t have placed the dog. The first thing in the morning was to set up a time and you went right to saying how this was disturbing. Very unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend you guys to anybody. You need to have logic when it comes to animals. It takes 3 months for a dog to decompress in a new environment. Who would’ve held a bite risk specially when your biggest concern was for him to not have a bite record on his record. With all this being said if we knew all the extra information we would’ve never gotten involved. We hope he gets placed with someone knowledgeable enough to manage him before he bites someone else.
