It is our goal to assist in rescuing and rehoming any animals in need. We are a foster based rescue and can only take in so many animals at a given point in time, but if we are full we will try to assist in other arrangements for any animals in need. It is ou

r hope that someday everyone will learn to be responsible pet owners and there will be no need for us, until then, we will be here to help those in need. We are a not for profit charity and have 501(c)(3) status. Anyone interested in donating to the rescue can send monetary donations via PayPal at [email protected] or to HHHT PO Box 42 Stahlstown, PA 15687. 🐾An Update on the Moxham Dog 🐾

❤️ Somehow, He’s Still Choosing Love ❤️

For the first time, we’re finally able to share some positive news about this sweet boy.

He is doing very well.

Despite the severity of his injuries, he continues to recover with a drain in place and has been winning over everyone he meets. He’s friendly, affectionate, and surprisingly energetic. If you met him today without knowing his story, you’d never guess what he’s been through.

What continues to amaze us most is his spirit. He still seeks out attention, enjoys being around people, and approaches each day with a resilience that we can only admire.

We are hopeful that he will make a full recovery. There are still some unknowns, and it remains to be seen whether additional surgical procedures will be needed. That determination will be made as he continues to heal, but so far, he is heading in the right direction.

We also want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported him. The outpouring of kindness, prayers, messages, shares, and donations has been incredible. Because of you, he is receiving the medical care he needs and getting the chance he deserves.

While we’re celebrating this progress, his journey isn’t over yet. His veterinary care is ongoing, and there are still expenses ahead as we continue to monitor his healing and provide whatever treatment may be necessary.

If you’d like to help support his recovery, donation methods are listed below.

This little guy has already overcome so much, and we’re hopeful that the best chapters of his story are still ahead of him. ❤️🐾

We’ll continue to share updates as we are able, and hopefully we’ll be able to share more photos of this handsome boy soon.

💔 HE DIDN’T DESERVE THIS. 💔

Today, a dog is alive because someone cared enough to call 911.

He was found in Johnstown’s Moxham neighborhood suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. While most of us were going about our evening, he was terrified, injured, and in unimaginable pain.

What makes this even harder to understand is that this was not an aggressive dog.

He was not attacking anyone.

He was not threatening anyone.

He wasn’t hurting anyone.

He was simply a dog.

A dog who felt pain. A dog who depended on people. A dog who ended up with a bullet in his face and was left to suffer.

Thankfully, he was found before it was too late.

He is currently recovering at a local veterinary clinic after undergoing emergency surgery. Helping Hearts & Healing Tails has accepted responsibility for him and will be taking him into our rescue once he is discharged.

We know many of you want to see photos and follow his progress. Unfortunately, because there is an active criminal investigation, we are unable to share pictures or additional details at this time. As soon as we receive photos from the veterinary team and are permitted to release them, we will provide an update.

What we can tell you is that he is fighting.

And we’re going to fight right alongside him.

The reality is that emergency veterinary care is expensive. Surgery, hospitalization, medications, diagnostics, and follow-up treatment add up quickly. We didn’t have a fundraiser planned for a dog who had been shot. We didn’t budget for this. But when an animal is suffering, saying “no” isn’t an option.

So we said yes.

Now we’re asking our community to help us keep that promise.

Every donation goes directly toward giving this dog the care he needs and the future he deserves. If you are unable to donate, please share this post. One share could put this in front of the person who can help.

Tonight, he is safe.

He is warm.

He has pain medication, a comfortable place to rest, and people who are fighting for him.

But none of that changes what happened.

Someone looked at this dog and pulled the trigger.

We cannot undo that.

What we can do is make sure that the rest of his story is filled with compassion instead of cruelty.

Please help us show him that there are far more good people in this world than bad ones.

🚨 CALL OF DUTY LITTER NEEDS BACKUP 🚨

Soap. Roach. Gaz. Price. Farah.

Our Call of Duty litter is now 9 weeks old, fully vetted for their age, and ready to deploy to their forever homes.

The problem?

They're barely getting any attention.

We know puppy season is in full swing and social media algorithms can be brutal, but these little recruits are getting lost in the shuffle. Every day they stay here is another day we have to say no to dogs that desperately need our help because our fosters and resources are stretched so thin.

These puppies are friendly, playful, social, and exactly what you would expect from a group of tiny chaos agents. They spend their days wrestling, zooming, stealing toys from each other, and generally acting like they have no concept of personal space.

We need your help.

📣 Please SHARE this post.
📣 Tag friends and family looking for a puppy.
📣 Help us get these babies seen before they grow up and get overlooked.

Puppies are often adopted quickly when they're little, but that only happens if people actually see them. A simple share can put them in front of the person who's been searching for their new best friend.

👑 PRINCESS IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR NEW SERVANTS 👑

Princess had a home for five years.

FIVE YEARS.

Then, through no fault of her own, she found herself back in rescue, and frankly, she's a little confused about the whole situation.

Because as far as Princess is concerned, she's a catch.

Have you seen her?

Look at that smile.

That is the face of a dog with absolutely no student loans, no credit card debt, no toxic exes, and not a single concern beyond "When is dinner?" and "Why aren't you petting me with both hands?"

Princess is around 8-9 years old, which means she's reached the glorious age where she's over most of the nonsense.

Chewing your shoes? Sounds exhausting.

Destroying furniture? Seems unnecessary.

Running laps around the house at 2 a.m.? Couldn't be her.

Princess prefers mature hobbies like napping, snacking, supervising household activities, and judging your life choices from the comfort of a couch.

She would also like it noted that she has perfected the art of looking adorable while contributing absolutely nothing to the household economy.

Despite being returned after five years, Princess remains ridiculously happy. Every day she wakes up convinced that today might be the day her new family finally finds her.

And honestly? We think she's waited long enough.

So if your home is missing:
✔️ One professional couch ornament
✔️ One snack enthusiast
✔️ One champion cuddler
✔️ One smiling little potato with legs

Princess would like to schedule an interview.

Apply today before she realizes she's too good for all of us.

🐾 Please share and help Princess find the kingdom she deserves.

**UPDATE ON SPIKE**

Spike saw the vet today and he did amazing around all the other people. He received his vaccinations, had bloodwork and a few x-rays done, and was microchipped. The only problem Spike is currently still having is that he’s been straining to urinate. They were able to determine that’s due to an enlarged prostate and he needs to be neutered soon. He is now scheduled to be neutered later this month and then he should be feeling good as new.

🎮 Live footage of Tika attempting to parent the CoD litter. 🎮

Tika: “I’d like five minutes of peace.”

The puppies: “Negative. Mission denied.”

Soap, Price, Gaz, Roach, and Farah have made it their life’s mission to ensure their mother never experiences silence, personal space, or uninterrupted naps ever again.

Despite being relentlessly ambushed, climbed on, chewed on, and followed everywhere she goes, Tika continues to be an amazing mom. She has raised six happy, healthy little chaos agents who spend their days wrestling, exploring, and plotting whatever nonsense comes next.

Watching Tika with her puppies is equal parts heartwarming and absolute comedy. One minute she’s lovingly caring for them, and the next she’s giving them that look every parent knows:

“Y’all are almost old enough to pay rent.”

The good news? These tiny operators are officially ready for adoption and looking for homes of their own! Soap, Price, Gaz, Roach, and Farah are ready to trade military operations against their mother for adventures with their forever families.

Enjoy this glimpse into life with Tika and her tiny tactical unit. If you’ve been thinking about adding a puppy to your family, now is the time to enlist. ❤️🐾

🎥 The Somerset Hoarding Case Survivors Have Gone Feral.

Eddie, Niles, and Tika had been removed from a residence where they were living in terrible conditions.

Unfortunately, nobody warned us what would happen when they discovered happiness.

The result is this video.

Scientists are calling it:
“Three Brain Cells Fighting for Custody of a Single Thought.”

Observations include:
🌪️ Random bursts of speed
🌪️ Aggressive participation in activities nobody understands
🌪️ Sprinting directly into situations they did not need to be involved in
🌪️ Group decisions made with absolutely no leadership structure

At one point, all three dogs appeared to be chasing each other.

Further investigation revealed they were actually chasing nothing.

Then they collectively became distracted by a leaf.

Then each other.

Then nothing again.

For dogs that once knew neglect and uncertainty, seeing them act like complete maniacs is honestly the best outcome we could have hoped for.

They’ve discovered safety.
They’ve discovered friendship.
And they’ve discovered that if you run fast enough, nobody can ask what you’re doing.

Eddie, Niles, and Tika are all looking for homes of their own.

Preferably with humans who don’t ask too many questions.

🏡 Adopt a survivor.
🏡 Gain a tiny, furry cryptid.

Applications can be found on our website.

Warning: These dogs may appear normal in photographs. This is a trap. The video contains their true form. 🐾🦝🌪️💨
