What a gorgeous evening to get back in the saddle.

Once it started cooling off this evening, we were finally able to get some horses worked again. It felt so good to be back riding after all the heat.

To top it off, I had some great company, and a huge thank you to Connie Thomson Cook for trusting me with your awesome mare, Sassy. I always enjoy getting to ride her!

Yesterday was an absolutely fabulous lesson day! I am so proud of both my riders and our horses. Things are really starting to click for everyone, and we saw some huge steps forward. Watching these partnerships grow and seeing all the hard work start to pay off is such a rewarding feeling.

I'm so excited for the rest of the season and can't wait to watch these riders continue to grow alongside their horses. They're putting in the work, and it's showing. So proud of every single one of them!

There is nothing better than watching an owner ride their own horse for the very first time.

This was this owner's very first ride ever on her mare since she came to us a few months ago to be started. She had the week off because of the heat and smoke, so this was also her first ride back after some time off.

These two had such a beautiful ride together, and we even finished with a little trail ride! I couldn't be more proud of this young mare for taking such good care of her owner, and I'm just as proud of her owner for trusting the process and climbing in the saddle for the very first time.

This is what building a relaxed, thinking mindset in a horse looks like. It's not about controlling every step they take. It's about giving them the tools to think through situations, use their brain, and become confident enough to make good decisions. We encourage our horses to be independent, so when they're faced with something new, their first response isn't panic. It's to stop, think, relax, and work through it.

Watching this mare confidently take care of her owner today was such a rewarding reminder of why we train the way we do. I am so excited to watch this partnership continue to grow and see what the future holds for these two.

I am so incredibly proud of these girls and their horses. The amount of work they have put into getting to this point is incredible. There has been blood, sweat, and tears poured into these horses, and it truly showed today. These girls have gone above and beyond, and it has been such a privilege to watch.

I'll have to go back and verify placings because I don't remember them all off the top of my head, but every single one of these kiddos exceeded my expectations. Considering both their experience and their horses' experience, they handled themselves exceptionally well.

One thing I always tell my riders is that showing isn't about coming home with a ribbon every single time. It's about improvement. If something didn't go your way in one class, what did you learn? How are you going to improve in the next one? Did all the hours you've spent practicing show up when it mattered? Those are the questions that really matter.

That's why I love showing so much. It exposes the little holes in your training, gives you goals to work toward, and lets you see just how far you've come. Sometimes it tells you what needs more work, and sometimes it reminds you that all those long days were absolutely worth it and you're ready for the next step.

To every one of these girls, thank you for showing up, working hard, listening, and giving your horses your very best. I am beyond proud of each and every one of you. You girls work your absolute butts off, and it does not go unnoticed. This is only the beginning, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes you all.

Miss Ella and her pony, Silver, have come such a long way together.

When Ella first got Silver, it's safe to say he was a little bit of a terror. But this young lady never gave up on him. She has put in countless hours of hard work, patience, and dedication, and it has truly paid off.

Today, they won English Equitation, and I honestly couldn't be more proud of them. This wasn't luck. This was the result of all the time and effort they've poured into becoming a team.

Watching Ella grow as a rider and seeing Silver become such a willing partner has been so rewarding. I am beyond proud of this pair and everything they've accomplished. This win was so well deserved, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them.

Smoke of Olympic made her fair debut today, and it was also her very first time competing in showmanship!

I am so incredibly proud of this team. They have worked so hard to get to this point, and it showed today. Watching all of that hard work come together has been so rewarding.

I am especially proud of her handler. She represented this amazing young mare so well with patience, confidence, and kindness. This is just the beginning for these two, and I can't wait to watch them continue to grow together.

Fair Day 1 is off to a great start!

I am so incredibly proud of all of our kiddos for showing up and giving it their all today. For some of these girls, this is their very first time showing the big horses, and they handled themselves so well.

They've only competed in Showmanship so far, but I couldn't be happier with how their first class of the day went. They walked into the ring, did their best, and represented themselves and their horses so well.

One of my favorite parts has been watching them learn and make adjustments as the day goes on. They listen, they apply what they're being taught, and it's so rewarding to see their confidence grow with every class.

We've got lots more classes ahead today, and I can't wait to see what the rest of the day brings. Good luck, girls. Keep having fun and keep learning. I'm so proud of every one of you!
