Adoption Alert! Safari came to us through Center for Animal Rescue and Enrichment of St. Louis - CARE STL as part of a legal seizure. Safari was not too worried about all of that...she was just happy not to have more puppies! Tony and Sheila were looking for a calm well mannered pup and Safari raised the paw! Happy Adoption to Safari and her new family!

Busy surgery day today for new intake almost 9 year old Josephine. X-rays, bloodwork, spay, tail amputation and then real fun with tooth removal of her upper front teeth and both upper canines that had most of the root exposed. Long time on the table. Josephine came to us from St. Louis County after she was picked up in the heat! (Owners tracked down via microchip. Oops, she just got out the door and no one went to look for her... multiple litters and no one worried about her loose in this 95 degree plus heat!) Sweet girl, gets along with dogs and well mannered people. House trained, crate trained, good on the lead and travels well in the car. Fun to get a standard colored brindle pup too!

STLEBR Lost one of our star Alums yesterday to a stroke. Most of you have met Hades if you attend any of our events. He was a registered Therapy Dog and loved his job helping children and cancer patients. Hades came to us as a young dog with a pr*****ed ureter and severe entropion. Surgery done and he found his home with AnnaStacia, Orlando, Olivia and his dog boss Athena. Hades needed a dog job, and being a registered Therapy Dog International representative took a lot of work and training, but was so fulfilling for him. We are all devastated by his loss, and moreso as his Mom is out of town caring for a sick parent. Hades leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his people and the people he helped through his therapy work. Never long enough with them. Run free big dog until we meet again.

Another busy day Wentzville Veterinary Clinic for STLEBR. If you remember Walter from last year with the pr*****ed re**um, he isn't a baby dog anymore! He has been living with STLEBR Alum Pi and having a great time. Today all 69 # of Walter had an exam, vaccinations, Heartworm test, ear clean, nail trim and neuter! He wants everyone to know that this was Walter abuse!

New intake Lola XII came to get her wonky tail checked out and get her heartworm test. Yep, tail needed to go! This sweet girl came to us because she really wasn't doing well with the 6 year old boy blasting her with nerf balls and inviting his friends to join the fun. ..
She is still worried, but is settling in with her foster family.

Thank you everyone for all of your help and support of oyr efforts to help Bulldogs!
