Pearson's Hope

Pearson's Hope www.strayrescue.org

This poor stray, now named Pearson, was found after Stray Rescue received a call from a park maintenance worker.

Upon arrival, we thought the worst. Pearson had obviously suffered through a very harsh Winter, and we thought he had succumbed to extreme malnourishment and neglect, curled up, and died. Fortunately, this wasn't the case, and Pearson hadn't fully given up... but he was dangerously close. He was critically thin and dehydrated and, once he was taken to receive emergency care, they found that he was

n't even registering a temperature. Receiving constant veterinary care, we are hopeful that Pearson will pull through. Updates will be passed along as soon as they become available.

After suffering from neglect and nearly succumbing to dehydration, starvation, and exposure, Pearson continues to astonish everyone with his amazing recovery. Thanks to all those who sent good thoughts and donated to The Stracks Fund, Pearson's face is now filled with hope and love!

Randy Grim said: "i just found out about this page. guys, no hate talkin when its about a dog that touched many and almost died. he goes to foster today. when we get starved, no temp registering type dogs, it is the first 48 hours that are critical and when they usually pass on. after these type of dogs are stable what they need most is nutrition...

FYI: "Pearson's Hope" is not run by the groups involved in Pearson's care. This is a fan page run by a fan in order to spread word of Pearson's plight. If updates aren't fast enough for you, it may be that there's nothing new to report. The people actually working to save these dogs don't get the spare time to FB to satisfy your appetite for a constant stream of new info. That doesn't mean "it's a scam!".
