What a night!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to Good News Brewery to play bingo with us. Between the laughs, lucky numbers, and friendly competition, you made a real difference.

Because of your support, we raised enough to cover 14 kitten spay and neuter surgeries. That means fewer kittens born into homelessness and more lives changed before they even begin.

A special shout out to our incredible Smelly Cat Rescue planning crew for putting together such a fun event, and to the amazing team at Good News Brewery for hosting us and helping make the night a success.

Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, donated, and cheered us on. We couldn’t do this without you!

Until next time… BINGO!

More than two years ago, Roxy came into rescue pregnant and very sick.

For the first part of that journey, she wasn’t just waiting for a family. She was healing. We spent countless days loving her, advocating for her, giving medications twice a day, and helping her become the healthy, happy cat we always knew she could be.

Then came the waiting.

And this past month, she finally found her people. ❤️

Seeing the updates from her new family has been everything we hoped for. She’s confident, adored, and settling in like she’s always belonged there.

We loved Roxy enough to fight for her future. Now she has a family who will love her for the rest of it.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make that possible, especially Stephanie, Tonya, and the amazing café crew, and every volunteer who loved Roxy along the way. To all of you that have donated or sent supplies, it all supports making this happen everyday. Rescue truly takes a village, and this happy ending not only belongs to Roxy, it also belongs to all of you.

Kitten Foster Needed...

We have four adorable 10 week old kittens that are looking for a temporary place to crash for just a couple of weeks. Their days currently consist of cuddling, zoomies, wrestling with each other, and then crashing in a pile.

They get their first round of vaccines this Tuesday and just need a loving foster home until their spay/neuter appointment.

🌠You provide the love.
🌠We provide the supplies.
🌠They provide the entertainment (and
unlimited purrs).

Can you open your home for a short time and help these babies take the next step toward finding forever families? Or tag someone who might!

Things they don't put in the foster guide book:

There will be cuddles.
There will be happy wiggles.
There may be p**p confetti

We'd still choose this sweet boy every single time.

If you've ever wondered whether you could foster or adopt a special needs kitty, remember: they don't need perfect. They just need someone willing to love them through the messy parts.

Update on Calvin: No more litter box gymnastics since we upgraded to the new box. He still occasionally leaves me a little parting gift on his way out, but hey… nobody’s perfect.

That’s Marie’s version of hello anyway. Loud, opinionated, and with plenty more to say if you’re willing to listen.

I can’t stop staring at her eyes. One brilliant blue, one soft green, and somehow they fit her perfectly.

Marie is about 5 years old and is currently recovering from an ear infection. She also had to endure a pretty dramatic haircut after arriving with painful mats, so she’s feeling just a little self-conscious at the moment. We keep telling her it’ll grow back, but she’s not entirely convinced.

What we’ve learned about Marie is that she’s not the kind of cat who falls in love on day one. She likely spent a long time fending for herself, so trust is something she gives carefully. She’ll make you earn it.

But if you’re the kind of person who pays attention to the little things, respects her boundaries, reads her cues, and doesn’t mind a cat who likes to have conversations (and maybe the last word), Marie will absolutely reward you. Once she decides you’re her person, her affection is something really special.

Marie is not a fan of dogs. She has lived with other cats, but any introduction would need to be very slow and thoughtful. Because of that, we’d love to find her a home willing to do a trial adoption so everyone can settle in at Marie’s pace.

Some cats are easy.
Marie is worth it.

If you’ve been looking for a companion with personality, opinions, and a heart that’s earned instead of given away, Marie might just be waiting for you.
