JOSH ANDREWS ACQUIRES IMA FAMOUS GUY & PROMISES TO STREAK
Josh Andrews is proud to announce the acquisition of IMA FAMOUS GUY and PROMISES TO STREAK, two stallions backed by some of the most proven bloodlines in the performance horse industry.
While both stallions may be sons of two of the industry’s leading multimillion-dollar sires, Frenchmans Guy and A Streak Of Fling, that’s only part of the story.
The real highlight is the mares behind them.
Ima Famous Guy and Promises To Streak are out of two of the industry’s most respected blue hen mares — FAMOUS SILK PANTIES and PIE SKY PROMISES.
IMA FAMOUS GUY
Frenchmans Guy × Famous Silk Panties
Ima Famous Guy brings together the influence of legendary sire Frenchmans Guy with one of the most recognizable maternal families in the barrel horse industry.
His dam, Famous Silk Panties, is a daughter of Dash Ta Fame and a proven performer and producer in her own right.
Famous Silk Panties earned well over $200,000 during her performance career before establishing an even greater legacy in the breeding barn. Her offspring have included major performers and influential breeding horses such as The Kandyman, SR Godiva, This Fame Is On Fire, The Silk Streaker and others.
She has proven something we believe is incredibly important in a breeding program: great mares don’t just win—they produce winners.
PROMISES TO STREAK
A Streak Of Fling × Pie Sky Promises
Promises To Streak combines another powerhouse sire line with an equally impressive maternal family.
His sire, A Streak Of Fling, has become one of the industry’s great multimillion-dollar sires, influencing barrel racing, roping and performance programs across the country.
But once again, we’re just as excited about what’s on the bottom of the pedigree.
His dam, Pie Sky Promises, by Pie In The Sky, established herself as an exceptional producer. Her offspring have accumulated more than $497k in progeny earnings with successful performers coming from multiple crosses.
That distinction matters.
When a mare produces at a high level by different stallions, generation after generation, she earns the title blue hen.
Pie Sky Promises has also left her influence through horses including Promise Of The Sun, further extending this maternal family’s impact into another generation of performance horses.
