We’ve said it before and we will say it again. We truly believe that when the seed of Jesus finds the good soil in us and is cultivated, we too become Seed For The Nations! We also believe that every one of us was created to be a farminary or cultivator in both the physical and the spiritual. We were brought forth in the midst of the most beautiful garden and we were given the task of becoming stewards of it, to cultivate it, and expand its borders and boundaries to fill all of the earth. We will see a day in the future where the weapons of warfare are beaten into plowshares and we who were formally bound restore the devastations of many generations to its fullness. We also have this time right now that is like no other in history to tend to the soil of our hearts and to see the seed of Jesus spring forth in us and to see the garden expand as His seed is spread all over the earth . We love the physical and prophetic acts of farming. Where we get to put our physical hands in the soil, where we create an environment where the seed and the good soil connect, where we water it and then watch God bring forth the growth and the fruit. As we grow we must allow for God to prune us and to remove the things that would hinder greater growth. This isn’t always easy but it’s absolutely worth it. So today whether your physically growing food, or a garden or if you desire to grow spiritually in your relationship with Jesus and see lasting fruit there are a couple of things you can do.

1. Be ok with the fact that you don’t know how. When you embrace this it allows you to be ok with the learning process and you can turn what others call mistakes in to your greatest learning experiences and victories. Always looking at Jesus as the solution and answer no matter what problem or trial presents itself. He is the answer!

2. Be conscious and aware of the farming process. And apply it to your heart. Think through and learn the processes of farming and what it takes. Good soil, seed, light, fruit and multiplication of seed, death and new life. Remember that what was once born out of darkness now stretch’s forth towards the light, grows and bears fruit.

3. Ask God. He is always with you and wherever you are you can ask him questions. Ask real questions and expect to see, hear, or encounter an answer. Have your eyes open and be looking for the answer to come in any number of ways. God speaks but not always the way you would expect. So learn how to keep your ears, your eyes, and your heart open for what and how He speaks and answers.

4. Get honest and ask good questions. Good questions bring about heart transformation. Ask God if there are any lies that you are believing about Him, yourself, others, or situations. So ask good questions and expect good answers.

5. Listen and exchange. Hear what The Lord is saying, exchange what He is saying for the lie or just listen to what He is saying about any situation and I would suggest that you journal it! You will be shocked as you read back over time.

6. Obedience. Be obedient to what God is saying. Your obedience to what He is saying, and the degree to which you respond will be directly tied to your growth. So learn to walk in faith, trust and obedience.

If you want to physically grow food, or a garden or want to learn how, reach out to us at Mission House Farms or Seed For The Nations and we can help. Happy Farming Friday!
