Hello, Spring Valley! My name is Christine Lechuga. My husband and I moved to the area this past July from Tucson, Arizona, along with our very lively family of seven small dogs (four of whom are seniors), parrots, ducks, chickens, quails, giant tortoises, and a feral cat we rescued in Tucson and brought along with us.
​As a passionate animal lover with over 7.5 years of hands-on bathing and grooming experience, I am excited to announce the opening of my grooming studio, located inside Rhy’s-N-Shine Canines!
​My mission is to provide a gentle, personalized grooming experience centered on safety, comfort, and well-being. Unlike high-volume salons, I focus on one-on-one, low-stress care where dogs are never kept in cages for hours. I am Pet CPR and First Aid certified, dedicated to learning the latest industry techniques, and offer fun creative grooming and safe pet coloring services.
​When I’m not in the salon or tending to our backyard flock, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors and looking forward to getting out on the water. I’m so happy to be part of the Spring Valley community and look forward to pampering your pups and meeting you!

Meet "Rhy's Train Station T'Rip" aka "Rip" 💖

We have waited a long time to have a Rottweiler in our lives again. Rip is already 25 lbs of pure joy at 11 weeks old, and has settled beautifully into our family! Zip and Zelda love him, and are doing a great job of helping teach him good manners. He is confident, smart, sassy, full of energy, and most important of all... He LOVES people and other dogs! 🥰 I can't wait to see what this boys future brings!!!

Huge thank you to everyone involved in helping me bring Rip into our family, and to the Schomberg's for producing Rottie puppies with the great temperament I was looking for! ❤️

Once again time goes way too fast! As summer is winding down, and the fall season is about to start, I would like to wish everyone the best of luck at the upcoming trials, and send out congratulations to everyone who found success in agility and scentwork during the summer months. There were lots of fun times bonding with our dogs and friends!!! ❤️

Happy Birthday Zelda!!! 🥳

I can't believe you are already 7 years old... Man, time flies! 🥹

Nearly everyone who comes through the doors has met (or at least heard🤣) Zelda! She has become a very valuable part of this business... She does a great job as my sidekick doing demos during classes and lessons. She helps evaluate and start the recovery and management process for those who are reactive to other dogs and plays the neutral dog for CGC and sometimes Therapy Dog testing. She is really independent, super smart, and extremely sassy, but always willing to learn new things along with me. I think she is perfect! 🥰

Thank you Zelda for working hard even when the work is sometimes hard!!! 💖

Finally, enough "down time" to clean the entire floor! As always when I clean, I can't help but think of all of you who come in each week and help make it dirty... Thank you for supporting my business and trusting all of us with you and your furry friends! We appreciate all of you!!! ❤️ When I got on here to make this post, I saw a memory of the very first agility seminar that we had here, and it has been almost 3 years! Wow, time really flies!!! This week's course is set and classes continue tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing the floor get dirty again. 😊

We had a blast at the GSD Club of MSP Scentwork Trial last weekend... Thank you to everyone involved for putting on such a great trial! Kelly & Basil, Nicole with Nash & Spryte, Stacey & Dory, Andi with Raleigh & Maverick, and Zelda and I all enjoyed our weekend of sniffing! 😁

Novice and open level agility teams did great at the AKC Agility trials in April... It's so exciting to see everyone having fun and accomplishing goals! ❤️ Huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in organizing, hosting & working at these trials so we can play with our pups... We appreciate you!!!
Rachel & Rascal qualified with first place in their novice standard class earning Rascal a new title. Jess and River qualified with a first place in open jumpers. Terri and Toby qualified with a first place in both their novice jumpers and novice standard classes earning Toby's novice jumpers title. Zelda and I were able to attend 2 trials in April where she qualified with first place in both open jumpers & open standard at both trials earning her open Jumpers title. Thank you all for letting me be part of this journey with you!
