We have one sweet girl left! Meet Miss Maize! 🌽🐾💛

Maize is the perfect mix of independence and affection! She’s a confident little girl who loves to explore, go on adventures, and discover the world on her own. But the second you call her, she’s running right back to climb into your lap and cover you in kisses!

She’s got the confidence to do her own thing and the sweetest personality when it’s time for cuddles. 🥹

She truly is the best of both worlds, and we can’t wait to see who gets to call this special girl theirs! 💛

Enrichment has officially come to an end for the day, and I think it’s safe to say those little brains are tired. 🤎

We fill boxes with crumpled paper, kibble, and carrots and let the puppies dig, sniff, search, and problem-solve their way through them.

It may look like a big puppy mess, but they’re working those noses and brains the entire time.

And apparently, all that thinking calls for a very serious nap afterward. 💤

Happy National Black Dog Day! 🖤

Black dogs can be some of the most beautiful dogs there are.

There is something so striking about a rich black coat, especially on a poodle as those curls start to come in. Photos do not always capture the depth, shine, and detail of a black coat, but in person they can be absolutely stunning.

This year, National Black Dog Day feels extra special at Mezzo because our Harvest Litter is full of beautiful little black poodles, and as they grow, their individual personalities are becoming just as special as they are beautiful.

From the confident explorers to the sweet snugglers and the puppies who always want to be right in the middle of everything, we are loving getting to know each one.

Today we are celebrating our beautiful black babies and all the wonderful black dogs out there. 🖤🐩

5 weeks old and running around like crazy!

Happy National Dog Week from Mezzo Poodles! 🐩🐾

Around here, dogs are so much more than pets. They are family, training partners, adventure buddies, couch companions, and, occasionally, the reason absolutely nothing gets done on time.

National Dog Week feels like the perfect excuse to celebrate all of that, but also to share a little more about what goes into raising dogs who are prepared to become wonderful family companions.

Throughout the rest of the week, we’re going to talk about some of the things that matter most to us at Mezzo, from early puppy development and socialization, to temperament and matching puppies with the right families, to health testing and the thought that goes into responsible breeding.

Because behind every adorable puppy picture is a whole lot of work, planning, learning, and love.

And of course, we had to kick things off with some of the dogs who make Mezzo what it is. Allie and Ellie are our current moms, while Reverie, Valkyrie, and Morrigan are our up-and-coming girls. Leroy and Nash round out the crew as our boys. Seven very different personalities, each bringing something a little different to our program and reminding us exactly why we love this breed so much.

We’ll be introducing you to more of what makes each of them special throughout the week.

4.5 weeks old and the Harvest Litter is getting VERY opinionated about picture day. 😂🍂

Some of these babies are already learning how to sit pretty, look at the camera, and absolutely nail the pose.

Others are more like… “No thank you, I have places to be.” 😂

Their little personalities are coming out more every day, and we are getting lots of playing, exploring, wrestling, and general puppy chaos around here.

We are officially entering one of our favorite stages, where they start feeling less like tiny potatoes and more like actual little dogs. 🥹🐩

Officially starting to be my favorite age. 🥹🍂

The Harvest Litter is THREE WEEKS OLD today, and the fun is officially beginning! Their little personalities are starting to peek through, they’re getting steadier on their feet, and best of all… they’re starting to play! 🐩🤎

Uncle Percy even stopped by to supervise and say hello. 🐈‍⬛😂 Apparently puppy playtime requires feline oversight.

Every week just keeps getting better. 🤎

🌾 The Harvest Litter is TWO weeks old! 🌾

Our little harvest is growing right before our eyes! 🥹 Their eyes are starting to open, and they’re becoming much more mobile, wobbling their way around the whelping box on those tiny little legs.

They’re still spending most of their days eating and sleeping, but we’re starting to see little glimpses of the puppies they’re becoming. Over the next week, their world is going to get a whole lot bigger as they begin to see, hear, move around, and interact more with each other. 🤎🖤
