Even though our adoption center for unhandled mustangs is on hiatus... we will ALWAYS support mustang adoption 💕

Sooooo we are helping to organize a haul for qualified adopters who may be interested in bringing home an unhandled mustang from
Yankee Folly Mustang Adoption Center

Adopters would work with Yankee Folly to make a selection and complete their adoption with BLM.
We would offer pick up here in NE Ohio for those who are in our area and want to take advantage of discounted hauling rates.

Since unhandled BEHEMOTH mustangs apparently go for more 💰 than most of us can afford. Nevermind the cost of fuel and hauling to get one moved out East 😭)

We decided to offer a sweet opportunity. I had held onto a couple AMAZING mustang that will soon be ready to find their own person
...because let's be real. No one needs to hoard allllll the big, pretty mustangs 😜

Soooooo while this unhandled hunk is going for over 5k on the current IA. We are going to offer a couple FABULOUS boys who are ALREADY out East, ALREADY gentled, ALREADY for the perfect homes.

While we can't talk 💸 on FB... I can tell ya these boys won't break the bank 🏦

Both boys are easy to be around and soild domestic citizens these days. Both go out on regular fencing and come titled without BLM paperwork required 💁‍♀️

Plus boys are coming along with under saddle training. Are we somewhat jealous of whoever can buy that handsome dude on the IA? Wellll yes
Do we also have a solution for those who don't have 💰 to 🔥 ...also yes 😉 🤍 🥰 💚

BIAS against mustangs is real... but so is the truth that mustangs can be PHENOMENAL with the right start 😉

So while this person is clearly stuck in an uneducated mindset, here's a couple pictures from this weekend of two AMAZING BLM mares I adopted and trained a couple years ago. Both mares are thriving with their youth riders who KNOW their worth 💕

Edit**** I'm understanding this has somehow become a polarizing topic. I have ALWAYS been a huge supporter of BLM. I understand a lot of supposed controversy around BLM is more sensationalism than anything else.

HOWEVER my heart and loyalty will ALWAYS be with our mustangs. Anyone who claims to care about our mustangs should always support their well being and ethical treatment above loyalty to any person or organization.

This means adopters, trainers, BLM staff, partner staff, the American public should all be pro mustang. This means if corruption is found... it needs to be rectified.

I wish this story wasn't true. I never would have imagined anyone in a position to protect our mustangs could happen. BUT. IT. DID.

There are so many phenomenal humans I've met through the BLM and BLM partners. I know most of those who have dedicated their lives to helping mustangs would be horrified to know something like this happened.

Pretending this isn't true doesn't save a single horse. What saves lives is demanding changes in policy and making sure this never happens again. What saves lives is ensuring anyone who would let this happen is held accountable and removed.

For those who haven't been able to read the article... please comment and I'll gladly share the PDF to read. If you just refuse to believe this is true... maybe ask yourself why.

At the end of the day, I only want to see our mustangs treatmented with the dignity they deserve... and what the law demands.

Who is this guy? Some guy in Ohio who bought hundreds of mustangs in the past year. Some guy who knows the slaughter exporters. A guy whose name the mustang community hadn't heard before... until today.

It's a somber day.

We knew this was coming.... we knew because they told us. I read everything Project 2025 said about our cherished mustangs. In no uncertain terms, it laid out a plan to dispose of mustangs in BLM care through euthanasia and lifting slaughter restrictions. A loophole and a handful of corrupt individuals allowed this to happen.

Destroying our nation's living legends isn't palatable to the American people. Selling our wild horses for slaughter isn't palatable.

A bulk sale contract for some guy in Ohio who was was a smooth talker and said everything BLM wanted to hear. A guy who supposedly had great connections and didn't need to promote adoptions. Word of mouth supposedly found homes for hundreds of mustangs in some unprecedented manner... a manner we never achieved here. A manner never achieved anywhere until this stranger slid onto the scene.

He was hidden in plain sight because people turned a blind eye. People refused to validate even the most basic claims. If it sounds too good to be true.... that's probably because it's not.

I hope those involved in allowing this atrocity to happen are held accountable. I hope your names are shared far and wide. You know who you are.

In the meantime, those of us who have given everything to protect mustangs from people like you, we will continue our path.

We will continue to advocate for our wild horses. We will continue to be boots on the ground tending to the mustangs we *actually* love.

My journey with mustangs was built with over a decade at Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue in California. There is often a divide in the mustang world between the hands on folks and the rescue people. I've always considered myself as part of both sides.

May we not lose sight of what unites us... our love for wild horses.

We have more in common than our differences. I'm grateful for the many people who did the work to ensure some guy in Ohio didn't continue to go unnoticed. I'm grateful for those who refused to mind their own business. These horses will always will be our business.

While things have been quiet on our social media, we have been taking time to focus on the things that matter most... loved ones, baseball, kittens, and rebuilding 😉 💖 ⚾️ 😸

Most here are familiar with some of the trials we have pushed through the past couple years. If I'm totally honest, I've lived in fear for most of this time. It seemed the more I tried to roll with the punches, the more punches found us.

I prayed and prayed for the hits to stop. I wondered how much more we could take. I don't wonder anymore. This is not because life stopped being hard, it's because truth continues to prevail and the unexpected blessings find us.

Every single time it feels like I'm at the end of my rope, God throws us more rope.

Last year we celebrated our first legal victory. Then on my birthday, an appeal was filed in attempt to overturn the judgement in my favor.

And then we were tossed more rope. My attorney went above and beyond to make sure the truth would prevail again.

And. It. Did ❤️‍🩹🙏

Not only did the first judge rule in our favor, but a panel of three independent judges affirmed our victory judgement in the court of appeals.

I would love to say things moved forward, but as par for the course.... I can't. 😅

My accuser wasn't willing to accept the ruling of FOUR independent judges. Instead she submitted the case for appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court.

Is this whole ordeal unbelievable? It sure is
I'll say something though. God continues to throw us more rope. Every. Single. Time. 🙏❤️‍🩹✨️

Instead of worrying about the future, I'm focused on loved ones, baseball, kittens, and rebuilding 😉
