We have another wonderful birthday 🎂 on our amazing team!! Please help us wish one of our leaders an epic day!

Happy, happy birthday 🎉 to one of the best human beings we’re lucky to know, Cesar! Many of you know and love him as our Team Lead, Head Trainer, and Cat Whisperer. He is incredibly patient and kind, and a great example of what a professional pet care specialist looks like. 💚

He is also a dedicated musician, massage therapist, and soon-to-be Canine massage therapist- a true renaissance man who is lovely to everyone around him. Always curious and always happy to chat with people of all different paths. He is truly inspiring to us! 💫

Please help us welcome our newest pet care specialist, Melanie Cobo, to the team! Melanie was born and raised in Miami, FL. As an only child, she sought companionship from her birds and dogs and learned so much about the care and keeping of our most beloved pet family members.

She is currently earning a degree in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. Although she loves working with people, she finds great comfort and fulfillment from fluffy companions (as do we!). She’s passionate about helping animals and pets, so she volunteered at the county shelter for 3 years and networked dogs in need of homes.

Melanie is the proud dog mom of a Shih Tzu mix named Hershey and a foster fail named Edda. In her free time, Melanie explores coffee shops, reads, and goes on adventures with her pups!

Please make sure to give her a warm welcome if you see her in the neighborhood!

Happy birthday to the most beautiful and talented German Shepherd in all the land, Clos! 🥳🐾🐾

We have been taking care of and walking Miss Clos for some time now. This gorgeous girl is a credit to her breed- extremely intelligent and loyal, and the best friend you could ask for! Her parents put a lot of effort into her training, and our walkers make sure to reinforce her excellent behavior on her walks. She is a fantastic walker, very responsive, and loves to pick up palm fronds, sticks, and her beloved coconuts while getting her steps in. She’s very civic-minded. 😌

Chloe is special to us, and we love walking her daily. She is the best slumber pawty friend, is an excellent beach companion, and a wonderful older sister to Daisy, showing her the ropes of dignified doghood and allowing kisses. She did not want to share her birthday card with her little sister, though, which is totally OK. LOL She is one of the coolest dogs we’ve ever met, and we are so grateful to be part of her village.💚

Here’s to many more years around the sun, all your favorite treats, and all the coconuts and palm fronds your heart desires, sweet one!🎂⭐️

Morning dog walks finished? Check! ✅
Many of our clients work from home and need us to take their dogs out for a morning potty break while they set themselves up for the day. Several of them hire us to walk their pups several times throughout the day, and we’re so happy to see our friends that often! 🥹

Our buddies, like Artie and Mitzi, get their first walk in the earlier hours of the day. They stretch their legs, enjoy a nice sniffari where they smell all the good chisme (gossip for anyone new to Miami) on the grass and bushes, do their business, drink cool water, and get yummy cuddles.

We’re thrilled to welcome a wonderful fellow pet parent to the team: Selena! 🤩 Like many of our team members, Selena has always had a special love for animals and knew she wanted them to be a big part of her future. To that end, she is currently studying Biology, intending to become a veterinarian, so working with animals every day is the perfect way for her to gain experience while doing something she genuinely enjoys. 💚

Selena has experience caring for dogs and cats through pet sitting and dog walking, as well as volunteering with shelter dogs and helping give them time outside of the shelter. 🙏🏽She has also spent summers in Germany around farm animals, which helped grow her love and appreciation for animals of all kinds. Selena especially loves getting to know each pet’s individual personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in her care.

At home, Selena has two toy poodles, Zulu and Kuma, who have been a huge part of her love for animals. When she isn’t studying or spending time with animals, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to be part of the Equipaws team and to meet and care for so many amazing pets, and we’re so happy to have her. Please wish her a warm welcome! 🤗

We promise to always care for your dog as if they were our own. 💚

We promise to be their best friends, to give them adventures, wonderful walks and cuddles, and to keep them fit, healthy, and happy. 🐶☀️

We promise to keep them safe- out of the sun and off the hot pavement- and we promise to make sure they take breaks and stay hydrated in Miami’s summer heat. 🌡️🌤️💧

We promise to notice the little things:

💚 Their favorite places to sniff
💚 The perfect spots for scratchies
💚 And even when they don’t feel well, so they can be seen by a vet early on and feel better.

We promise to check their stool (yes, it matters! 💩) and to be your eyes and ears while we walk them.

We promise to protect them and to cherish them, because we truly love your dogs, and we will always be there for them. 🐾💚🐾
