Fuzzy Rescues by Jen Fuzzy Rescues by Jen is a small animal wildlife rescue licensed by the state of Connecticut. We specialize in mice.

Licensed wildlife rehabilitators are trained to provide the correct housing, food and medical care for native wild animals. This is a volunteer position and rehabilitators receive no funding from the state or otherwise. We are only able to care for these animals with your help. Please consider making a donation to help cover the cost of rehabilitating these animals.

Unfortunately not every rehab situation ends with a release. We recently took into care a very critical young squirrel who was found laying in a backyard. The poor little guy was cold and covered in flystrike, which is always an emergency situation. We got him in, warmed him and painstakingly removed all the flystrike then administered warm fluids. Sadly our little friend passed despite all our best efforts. This is a reminder that in critical situations, time is of the essence in the delicate balance of life. We take solace in the knowledge that he passed warm, loved and with dignity.
