The power of the lymphatic system in clearing toxins from the body is phenomenal, when it is functioning properly. Here is a series of photos of a client's horse suffering from skin leisons on the left side of his withers. Antihistamines were not producing positive results, and there was evidence of historic tissue trauma (see white "saddle marks"). After consultation with the treating veterinarian, I chose to apply a taping that would support his lymphatic drainage. Here are the sequential photos that show our success! Not long ago, many practitioners viewed kinesiology tape as a novelty.

Today, it's becoming a valuable addition to rehabilitation and performance programs because it helps bridge the gap between treatment sessions. While you can't be with your patient 24 hours a day, tape remains in place as the animal moves through its environment.
