Spade Update:
Day 21. Three weeks following his surgery, he was administered his initial series of steroid injections today. The injections are used to manage pain, reduce surgical site inflammation, and treat lingering deep tissue soreness. I love looking at these X-rays and seeing all that good space. It brings me so much joy for him, and let’s be real, for me as well! Thank you Dr. Henre Honnas, and the Texas Equine Hospital.
Next week we give him Osphos intramuscularly. Osphos is used to manage residual bone pain, reduce bone resorption, and support long-term comfort during rehabilitation.
God is teaching me patience in this whole process.🙏😊

Spade Update from the kissing spine surgery. 4 Days ago I removed the sponge, and yesterday I removed the staples. One day at a time, one step closer. Early this am he was "released from stall jail".I must say he was very patient the whole time. For the next 30 days he will live in a 24 x 24 outdoor area with access to a 12 x 12 shed. God is great!

Update on Spade from AGE is Just A NUMBER RANCH, llc. Today is day 10 post surgery, and we remove the sponge. I am trying to talk over the 2 running fans I have in the stall which have been making him very comfortable in this hot and humid Texas weather. Spade has been very patient, and I am thankful for that.
