❤️Thankful Thursday❤️

We are so happy to say that we have almost raised enough money to pay off our vet bill!

In just a week, we have been able to raise $5,920 out of $7,000 which is absolutely amazing! We are so thankful for every donation, share, and interaction we have received on our post. We now only need to raise $1,080 to reach our goal to finally pay off our bill!

However, we also have our Canada transport coming up in two weeks that we need to raise funds for. We originally posted transport with a goal of $1,000 BUT we now how a third dog going which has increased the cost to about $1,500. We have only raised $50 so far to cover transport which leaves $1,450 left that is still needed.

So our goal now is to raise $2,530 to fully pay off our vet bill and cover transport costs! With all the support we have been shown, especially in the last week, we know this is possible!

$5 Friday

As we posted yesterday, we have made the difficult decision to shut intakes down till our vet bills are paid off. We owe $7,000 at our main vet current. We were able to raise $865 prior to this post. While, we are working on paying these bills off the regular workings of rescue does not stop. Next month, Indie and Dobby are leaving for Canada were they both have homes waiting for them. Transport is going to cost us about $1,000. This includes health certificates, updating vaccines, transport itself, and broker fees for paperwork to cross the border.

So our goal today is to raise the $1,000 for their transport so anything else raised can be focused on our vet bill.

This is not the route we want to take, but at this point we don’t know what else to do.

We currently still have a vet bill just under $7,000 (mostly parvo treatments) that we have to get paid before we can help anymore animals in need.

While we continue to get multiple requests daily, our donations have almost completely stopped. Despite all our posts, fundraisers, and begging, we aren’t getting anywhere with our bill.

We have been so lucky to work with an amazing vet who continues to support our rescue efforts and care for our dogs without hestitation. But it is not fair for us to expect them to continue to do so without payment, and our board members who have been paying out of pocket as much as possible cannot continue to do so.

So until this bill is paid, we are completely closed for intake. While requests keep coming in and dogs are euthanized for space daily, we are unable to provide any help until we get help ourselves.

Rescue doesn’t stop once the dog leaves the shelter. That is when it starts. Vaccines, spays/neuters, testing, heartworm treatments, preventions, and food. It all adds up. We work extremely hard to do our part, now we are pleading for you to do yours.

$2 Tuesday

Only 5 tickets have been bought so far! So we are extending raffle to next Tuesday!

We are working on paying our vet bills off while also trying to gather money for two of our dogs to head to Canada next month. The ChloChlo Company has agreed to help us out! For each $2 donation your name will be placed in the drawing for a chance to win some homemade treats! We will be drawing a total of 5 names on Sunday for 10-12 oz treat bags. You can pick between dehydrated sweet potatoes, banana and peanut butter, or pumpkin treats!

We still need a foster for this little one!!

Is on stray hold until the 20th and then will be vetted and available for adoption through the rescue!

Dog, cat, and kid friendly. Only about 25lbs.

This dog will be going to the shelter tomorrow morning if we cannot find a foster! Our current fosters are already full and cannot take on anymore.

‼️FOUND DOG - IMMEDIATE FOSTER NEEDED‼️

This baby was found in Phenix City, AL near Ladonia off Hwy 80. Had on harness. No tag. Will scan for microchip tomorrow. Currently safe with finder BUT we MUST find a foster immediately as the finder’s dog strongly dislikes them.

If no foster is found, they will have to go to Russell County Animal Control, and we do NOT want that to have to happen.

Smell good Saturday!

Yesterday, Snoop went for a grooming session with Paws & Polish ! He went in smelling like a dog who hadn’t been bathed in forever to smelling amazing with a much lighter coat! He will be post for adoption very soon so be on the look out!
