We’ve added a second Canine Conditioning Workshop this fall!

Our 3-hour workshop designed to deepen your knowledge of your dog’s physical structure, work your dog in a group setting, as well as receive 1-on-1 guidance on how to create a conditioning program for your dog as the fall and winter seasons approach. Incorporating a daily conditioning program into your dog’s life helps prevent unwanted injuries, keeps their core strong to support balance and mobility and helps them to age gracefully and keep enjoying all that you love to do together.

Our workshop will begin with a warm up for your dog with the group, followed by each dog team having a chance to work individually, looking at your dog’s unique structure, discussing your goals and creating a conditioning plan specifically for your dog. You will also have the opportunity to see other dogs work, gaining knowledge about many different dogs and exercises to add to your growing canine conditioning tool box.

This workshop is open to dogs of all ages and levels. It is helpful if your dog has worked in a group setting with other dogs and knows basic obedience. Previous attendance in K9 Conditioning class is helpful but, not a requirement. Dogs must be social or neutral with other dogs and people to attend. We are offering working and audit spots. For a working spot, you bring your dog and actively work your dog during the workshop, first in a group setting then individually. While other dogs are working your dog will rest, this can be calmly and quietly with you, in a crate provided in the space or in your vehicle, wherever they are most comfortable. For an audit spot, your dog stays home and you bring the knowledge you learn home to work with them.

Working spots limited to 5 human/dog teams. 4 spots left! Register @ www.taodogwellness.com

Join us for a group session of pet loss support, connection and community. Our session is designed for YOU, the caregiver. We will focus on the aspects of the caregiver role, the real challenges of meeting our pets needs while taking care of ourselves, and the feelings associated with anticipatory grief. The caregiver role is profound. The time, energy and fatigue associated with being a caregiver exist while we are caring but, also can continue well past the time after we say goodbye to our pet. Learn new ways to support yourself and tools to help you on your grief journey.

Upon registration you will receive a zoom link to our session and a link to donate. All donations go to directly to our designated legacy fund to create programs, opportunities and scholarships for grief support for individuals in the field of veterinary medicine, animal rescue and first responders. Suggested donation range $5-25, a donation is not required to participate.

I miss the version Relic was as a young puppy. I miss her puppy snuggles, I miss the middle of the night bathroom runs, I even miss the mouthiness which I thought would never get better.

It doesn’t matter how many puppies I’ve raised or helped others raise, I forget how fast it goes. When I’m in those early months I forget that every week they change. The behaviors I’m faced with one week, change the next. And now at 9 months, I’m asking myself how did I get here?

As a dog trainer, people will ask me “is it all about training?” It’s training but, honestly it’s so much more than just teaching skills and shaping behavior. It’s what is your puppy eating, are they resting enough, how are vet visits going, how is your puppy developing physically, are they becoming a well mannered pup in public. Maybe this is why puppy hood is such a blur. You’re doing all of it at once. Building a solid foundation in all aspects of your dogs well being so they grow into a dog who can be happy, healthy and fit into your life and family.

Yes, it’s training but more importantly it’s wellness and well being. It’s learning to view our dogs through this lens. I not only want your dog to live a long life, I want them to live a full life. A life where they can enjoy what they love with you.

Join us for a complimentary Dog Wellness Coaching session, share your goals and discover what is possible for your dog.✨
