Since our shelter renovations began, Moon has lived with an employee, spent time in our office, and recently moved into a new foster home. Each time, she adjusted with grace and reminded us what a special girl she is. Moon has a gift for making friends wherever she goes, whether that be people, dogs, or cats. She doesn’t care where she lives, she just wants someone to share it with.

Tomorrow is the FINAL day of sponsored adoptions through Petco Love PickMe! SC, and our dog application inbox is still missing six very important names.

Monk arrived on 11/17/2021.
Oshi arrived on 10/9/2023.
Duke arrived on 10/12/2023.
Eve arrived on 12/6/2024.
Violet arrived on 1/16/2025.
Indy arrived on 1/16/2025.

That is years of routines, staff favorites, volunteer walks, training sessions, good days, hard days, and “surely their person is coming soon.”

We believe their people are out there, and we are ready to meet them. Our team is checking applications throughout the day because we are eager to help these dogs take the next step.

These dogs are fully vetted, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Many know commands and tricks. Some have completed obedience training. They have been loved, worked with, and cheered on by our team every step of the way.

They are ready for the part where shelter life becomes the story of how you found each other.

Whether your home is active and sporty, calm and couch-friendly, or somewhere in between, we would love to help you find the right match. We know these dogs. We know their personalities, their routines, their strengths, and the kind of homes where they can shine.

We will talk you through the process, help you prepare, and set you up for success.

Duke is a 3 year old neutered male terrier mix, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and currently running on loose caboose power and whatever song is playing in his head.
