We are South Carolina's first NAVHDA chapter, dedicated to helping our members train their versatile hunting dogs.

Its grounds maintenance day. Time to kill those pesky briars and multiflora rose bushes.

The chapter had a great training day on Saturday. We had 17 handlers and 23 dogs participating. We got to use two Duck Search venues and get in some searches in the rain. You want to be prepared for bad weather on test days.

We saw lots of folks taking NAVHDA International’s advice to get strangers to perform hands on exams on their dogs. Great job guys!

It’s a busy Training Day at Saluda River NAVHDA. A total of 20 handlers from SC, NC, GA, VA and FL. 100+ quail and Chukar planted and 24 ducks furnished for Duck Search and Steady by Blind.

Old hands, new members and visitors, too. Good organization makes the day flow smoothly.

The Saluda River Chapter has a work day this Saturday, February 21, at our duck swamp. We will be removing the two wrecked duck blinds and improving access for kayaks and the dog entry point.

Saluda River had a great turnout today in spite of the misting rain. We got to meet four new members today for the first time. That’s always a treat.
