🚨 OKAY… WE’RE STILL NOT OVER THIS. 🚨🐶💛

Just when we thought we had posted enough pictures… MORE GOLDENS APPEARED. 😂📸

The PNW Golden Gathering at the Whaling Days Parade was one of those days you wish you could bottle up and relive over and over again.

Golden faces EVERYWHERE. Happy tails. Matching shirts. New friendships. Old friends. People stopping to smile, wave, laugh, and ask, “HOW MANY GOLDENS ARE HERE?!” 😂

And honestly? The answer was basically… YES. 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕

This wasn’t just a parade. It was a giant celebration of everything we love about Goldens—and the people who love them right back. 💛

🌈 *Gone from our side - but always in our hearts* 🌈

At our next PNW Golden Gathering, we hope honor all of the goldens who were gone too soon.

Each memorial balloon will carry the handwritten name of a much-loved golden. The balloons will float above a beautiful ribbon rainbow carried through the parade, allowing families to proudly include dogs who may no longer be walking beside them.

This isn’t meant to be a sad moment. It’s a joyful celebration of the laughter, love, adventures, muddy paws, and unforgettable memories our goldens have given us.

Some will walk the parade on four paws, and others will be represented by a name floating above the crowd—but every golden belongs in the gathering. 💛🐾🌈

What if we made history together? 🐾💛

I recently found out there isn't currently a Guinness World Record for the largest group of Golden Retrievers wearing matching bandanas with their humans wearing matching shirts in a parade...

So naturally, my first thought was...

Why don't WE do it?! 😍

Can you imagine hundreds (or maybe even THOUSANDS!) of goofy, smiling Goldens all gathered in one place, proudly matching their people? It would be the happiest world record ever attempted!

Here's the challenge:
Share this post with every Golden Retriever owner you know. Invite your friends, family, neighbors, breeders, rescue groups, and Golden-loving communities. The bigger we dream, the more possible it becomes!

If enough people are interested, we'll start working with Guinness World Records to see exactly what's required to make this an official attempt at next year's parade.

We’re searching for the official logo for next year’s *PNW Golden Gathering*—and your design could be seen all over the Pacific Northwest!

The winning logo will be featured on **more than 400 event T-shirts** next year—and possibly on additional swag too! Imagine hundreds of golden retrievers and their people proudly wearing *your artwork* at the gathering. 🌲🌊☀️🐕

The people who got their dogs ready.

You didn’t just walk in a parade.

You filled Silverdale Way with GOLDEN RETRIEVER JOY. 💛

And apparently the judges noticed. 👀🏆

So THANK YOU. From the bottom of our hearts. This first-ever Golden gathering in the Whaling Days parade was bigger, louder, goofier and more magical than we ever could have imagined.

And now we have a trophy-worthy piece of paper to prove it. 😂📜🥇

🐾 Welcome to PNW Golden Gathering! 🐾

What began as a joyful group of golden retrievers gathering for the Whaling Days Parade in Silverdale is growing into something even bigger—a Pacific Northwest community built around happy dogs, new friendships, and a whole lot of wagging tails.

We changed our name to PNW Golden Gathering because we want our furry friends from across the water—and across the entire Pacific Northwest—to know they’re invited! Whether you’re traveling by ferry, crossing a bridge, or making a weekend road trip, we would love for you to join the fun.

Our biggest annual gathering will continue to take place during the Whaling Days Parade on the last weekend of July, with plans for additional meetups throughout the year.

This community is coordinated by Keldy Spainhour, our self-appointed Chaos Coordinator and a local health-tested golden retriever breeder—but this page isn’t about one person or one business. It’s about creating a movement that brings dogs and their people together from all across the PNW.

WAIT… DID YOU JUST SEE 196 GOLDEN RETRIEVERS WALKING IN A PARADE?! 😳🐕💛

Because I’m pretty sure this is what pure JOY looks like. 🥹

196 goofy, fluffy, happy Goldens… ALL WALKING TOGETHER. And somehow we convinced over HALF of their humans to wear matching shirts AND about 80 of the dogs were rocking matching bandanas. 😂💛

Just LOOK at them!!! 😭😭😭
This wasn’t just a parade. It was a giant celebration of everything we love about Goldens—their goofy personalities, their ridiculous enthusiasm, their giant smiles, their ability to make complete strangers stop and say, “OH MY GOSH, LOOK AT ALL THE GOLDENS!” 😂

And the BEST part?
These dogs bring so much JOY to so many people. Watching the crowd light up as nearly 200 Goldens came walking by was something I’ll never forget.
WHAT A JOY.
WHAT A DAY.
WHAT A PACK. 🐾💛

And honestly… I think we may have a problem.
Because now that we know we can get 196 Goldens together…
HOW MANY CAN WE GET NEXT YEAR?! 👀😂
